abliltiy to attach photos to work orders
On other systems I have been able to attach photos to work orders for our technicians. They don't always have access to the system and this is very useful. Is this something you can work on?

Page Breaks for template
The ability to insert a page break into a template. We have several templates that require a break. My boss is extremely frustrated.
22 votesWhich templates are you wanting to add a page break to?
On certain forms, like an estimate, it seems like the page breaks would need to be conditional based on the number of line items, which would be quite tricky.
Thanks,

Custom Estimate Fields
You have custom work order fields and custom invoice fields but not custom estimate fields. It would be great to have them available on the estimate and then be able to have the option to carry that info to the work order and then to the invoice. There are things that you need to capture on an estimate and be able make them mandatory. It isn't practical to use the custom contact or custom job fields to enter the info because the info may not be known at the time of entering the contact and job info. In the gutter…

the ability to modify column size on estimate and invoice templates
Currently, lots of space is wasted on estimate forms because you cannot modify the item column. It takes up too much space; making an otherwise one page estimate into a two page estimate. I don't like it.

the ability to copy existing saved estimate and work order templates.
Creating a new template is pretty easy. That said, we have created some fairly complex templates and would like to build new templates off those that have been saved rather than starting from scratch. Basically, we need a 'save as' option when we edit an existing saved template.

Quicker Estimates Tax Selecting
An easier or quicker way to enter/select the tax city/amount? On a large quote, you have to click the drop down, then scroll down and select the city. possibly allow it to automatically populate with the same as all others and if you don't want a tax amount, allow just a section option within each estimate. Just possible suggestions.

ability to attach pdf to work order
Would like to be able to attach pdf's to Work Orders (currently can only attach photos). I have to either retype the entire scope into the work order or follow up every Work Order with an email attaching the scope. Sad face for the double work.

A commission sheet that i can print off for salesman
I really wish there was a section where I could print off a commission sheet for salesman. Right now I am building one in the budget form for them and then printing it. There is not a print button in this section and it makes it very difficult. We would also like the option of net profit.

Easier way to add line items between other line items
Have you tried dragging and dropping a new item near the top of the page on a large 30 line or more estimate? It's tedious, and amazingly time consuming, especially since the browser doesn't auto scroll up and follow the dragged item with the cursor. When moving an item above the fold you have to drag it, then drop it, then scroll up, then drag it then drop it, then scroll up. It's like carrying a 100 lb gorilla that is too heavy to carry. So you have to keep setting him down take a breather then carry him again…

Job Profit Calculation (Job Costing) - Estimate vs. Actual
Once all said and done, It would be nice to get a profit calculated for the Job. The 'Budget" has some nice features that could accomplish some of these things but would need to expanded. Some of the things to include
1) Material cost
2) Labor Cost (per employee) Cost vary
3) a)Original price Line for projject
b) Added/Subtracted Change orders as line items
c) Total Job Price
4) More choices, teirs to calculate the commission
5) Able to print out as well as save per job94 votesThis is an interesting idea. I’ll talk to our team and see if we could do it.

Deposit Required Line for Estimates
Is there a way to add a Deposit Value on quotes.
So the sums total would look like this.
Quote Price $10,000.00
TAX $500.00
Sub Total $10,500.00
Deposit Required $5,000.00
Balance Due on Completion $5,500.0023 votesThere isn’t a way to require a deposit at this time on the estimate, but you can add it as a line item and that will help in the meantime until we have more native support of this feature.
We’ll keep you posted!

Totals for Labor & Material Cost shown when editing
The new labor and material split integration is great. However, not showing the total labor and total material at the bottom of the estimate (for us, not the customer) makes it very difficult to find what the totals are. We would have to add up each line item (sometimes 40 line items) to find the total labor cost and total material cost for each estimate. This makes tracking efficiency of estimates very hard when comparing estimate to actual.

More control of editing estimate templates
I am trying to edit an estimate template and would like to edit the name of it to reflect what I am using it for but can only edit items. Also, would be nice to be able to duplicate a template as I can use various template versions of exterior door install, include paint/stain, install trim or not, etc etc

Warning When Attempting to Edit, Attach to Contacts/Jobs that are Archived
Have a pop up on Paid and Closed clients when someone attempts to add an attachment?
We are running into an issue with invoices added to the job after it is closed - which we can adjust - but the person needs to be informed it is Paid and Closed so they can contact the office. The pop-up could say, "Paid and Closed Client. Do you wish to proceed?"

Decimal Point Control - More or less decimal points in Quantity
Some of our billing is progressive on the terms of 3 payments broken into 1/3, 1/3, then the balance. If I put .33333333 (since JN doesn't automatically convert the fraction 1/3 to a decimal) in the quantity column and the price of $16500, JN returns a value of $5445.00 which is due to the fact JN takes my .33333333 and shortens it to .33.
$16500 x .33 = $5445
$16500 x .333333333 = $5500$5445 is $55 short of the $5500 I should be charging on our first bill.
Of course the workaround in the meantime is to enter "1/3…
