Labor only on work orders
For work orders, we don't want the price of the materials to show. We would like to be able to enable materials and labor in our products and services, and when converting an estimate to a work order we would like to have the option for only the labor to show up on that work order.
Closing out due to age of request, that it was fixed, or that it won't be implemented. Cleaning up our votes to make sure we are focusing on the greatest impact.

I tried to explain my 2nd issue from my post below with a screenshot.
The goal of the Labor Work Order is to provide the crew with the labor items they will be getting paid for on the job. Why can't the cost calculate based on the quantity for a total cost per line item? -

I'm realizing the Labor Order Issues as I begin to build out my first set of orders.
When I select to create either a material order or a work order, it takes you to a page similar to your estimate template, but aligned with the saved work order/material order template you have chosen. All material and labor items are shown from the estimate that was created. To build the order you desire, lets say a labor order....you are then forced to remove all the material items that are not relevant to the labor order.
This requires you to click the x "remove this line item" for everything that the labor doesn't need to have.Couldn't this be solved by each product & service item being tagged as either labor or material item?
My thought is that you should be able to pull just the labor items if you create a work order, and just the material items for a material order.
There's a lot of room for error with clicking if we have to run through the entire list of items every time we create an order.
Another problem with the labor order...is the cost amount total. Template not able to provide cost amount total.
I pulled out all the material items and I'm left with my labor items. I have the name, description, UOM, QTY & Cost (labor to pay crew).
I complete the template and the cost simply shows "cost per unit" not the cost multiplied by the # of units.I need to be able to show my crew their pay per job somehow....and I'm not seeing how to do this.
The problem is...when I finish the report, it doesn't sum up the Cost based on the Qty. If I add the "Amount" to the order template, it gives me the marked up price that the customer is paying.
This is a work order for the crew and an itemized list of the labor tasks required and they pay they will receive. I need it to sum the QTYxCost to provide a total cost per labor item and a total at the bottom.

Please make this change ASAP. I have been having this issue since the beginning of this year. There is absolutely no reason to have material cost or mark ups in the work order for sub contractors to see what they are getting paid. This is one of the reasons I have been considering other CRM options. Please somebody work on this and notify me when it is completed, so I do not waste my time programming another CRM.
