Hey yall! I’m AJ, a 21-year-old contractor managing 280+ clients in Louisiana, and now, with hurricane work in Texas, I’ve added even more to my plate. The biggest struggle? Keeping clients updated without drowning in back-and-forth communication.
My idea: a Client Portal in JobNimbus. Let clients log in, view their project status, documents, photos, and updates—instantly. No more chasing updates. It’s transparency and efficiency in one place.
This would be a game-changer for managing hundreds of clients while keeping them happy and informed.

To be able to add multiple email addresses. Or once you add contact fields to be able to add in the drop down for email receipients
Be able to add insurance adj emails and company emails to the drop down menu of the email recipients

Reply all function to include original author and/or recipients.
Ability to “Reply” to notes on Jobnimbus. Specifically, on the mobile app
So, if someone tags me and 3 other people in a note, can I hit some kind of “Reply” button to make a note tagging the original note author, and the others who were tagged.
This would avoid constantly having to write each team member (@name @name @name)

Make a public API endpoint available for Engage
We need to make this available to the business owners. It is crucial that we not only have the option to automate text messages, but have the ability to connect to AI. Some business owners like me miss out on opportunities to answer clients text quick enough and we should capitalize on this.

Show Email status for the estimates
Show the email status for the estimates that are sent out so you can tell if a customer has received and opened them. You can see it on the other emails just not with the estimates.

I feel that Job Nimbus along with all the other like platforms really fall short in the siding department.
I would highly recommend meeting with qualified siding installers to improve their experience. This issue is not isolated—it has been a challenge across various platforms we've worked with, and we’ve encountered similar problems with at least five other platforms. I believe if you could resolve this issue, you would position yourself ahead of the competition and establish leadership in this category. Addressing these concerns could significantly elevate your standing in the market.

Update Note Categorization or Deletion
With other CRM's that I've used in the past, it was really easy to change the relationship of an internal note, or change the relation of the note to a contact. I would like to see in the "Activity" section either the ability to be deleted, or change the "related" section to "example (contact)" to "example (job)" so that I don't have to delete the content of a note and move it manually.

Separating Email Threads
Having Separate Email threads for each job instead of a mashup of activity threads for multi project profiles would be a game changer. So difficult to sift through and find old emails for specific jobs.

Email opt out checkbox (like the one for texting)
This would help make sure we still have their email to send estimates to but blocking them from getting any automations. This would help us comply with email laws.

Lead Source required in Contact Field
Ability to make the lead source a required field to complete the contact. Similar to the contact fields with an options list. Training is good, but a required field is better for accurate reporting.

Add activity when call is placed from RingCentral on Desktop
Please carry over the feature within the Mobile App to the Desktop version of JN that automatically leaves a timestamp of the call with an option of leaving a note.

Out of Office Automatic Text Reply
Ability to set schedule for out-of-office text and email replies. Example: a text/email is received between Friday 5pm and Monday 8am: an auto-reply advises sender that the office is closed and will reopen Monday at 8am, which is when we’ll reply to the message.

A red banner on jobs that have urgent instructions or special cases
a banner that can be turned on with a message if there is an urgent piece of information or a last minute change to the job.
Example: we had a roof that was only supposed to be started if it could be finished by today. it was started late because someone was not aware and now the customer who did not want their house under construction when they had visitors will now host company with their roof torn off.
Bonus if there would also be a ping or maybe a board that listed all those in prgess jobs with urgent…

Custom Phone Number Fields (Adjuster Phone Number) added in Phone Numbers in Native Field options
I know we all hate going through estimates to find adjusters phone numbers, I like to add the adjuster phone number in the custom field but in the current configuration there are several problems.
1: You need to use "text" option because you can't use number option especially if there's an extension, and then I needed to update this in my custom field and i deleted the field all together
2: If you add a phone number under the number or txt field type you can't click and call it like on the native field
