incoming email
To be able to scan in digital and physical docs, into JobNimbus....as of now, when we get leads, for instance, they are distributed by either email, or a paper doc.....so we have to manually enter them, whereas we could just send it to ourselves, in a "file cabinet" open the doc, and then if we have found it to be good, THEN fill out the new prospect info form....since we already have OUTGOING email, it shouldn't take much to set up the "attachments" to receive scanned in and digitally sent docs.....thanks
1 voteYou can already send your documents into JobNimbus by using the email address outlined in Settings > Email tab (@jobnimbusmail.com) and then use the contact or job # to tag the subject line (see that same Email tab for an explanation on how to do subject tagging).
Any document attachments sent into JobNimbus via email will be added to the Attachments tab.
Also, you can use a scanner app to scan your documents into your mobile device and then use the Share button in the app to Open In and select JobNimbus. This will let you choose which job or contact you want to attach it to, and JobNimbus will add it to the Attachments tab.
Enjoy!

Have the tasks that are completed tell us who marked it as completed.
When a task is completed it doesn't say who marked it as complete. A lot of our tasks are assigned to multiple people. If I know who marked it complete then I could tell who completed the task. Right now we have to write a separate note to say who did what.
1 voteYou can find out who completed the task by doing the following:
1. Go to the Task Details page
2. Scroll to the bottom where it has the Activity table and click the search/magnifying glass icon.
3. In the dropdown menu that says “User Created” choose “All” and you’ll see everything that’s happened with this task, including who marked it as Completed. -
electronic signature capture
I'd love to be able to get digital/electronic signatures on contracts/estimates so that we avoid using fax or travel time to see customer.
2 votesThis is currently possible using the Document Template in JobNimbus. Here is a video on how it works. You can include an Estimate in the document to accomplish obtaining a signature for an Estimate.

How do I delete a repeating task?
I want to delete a repeating task, but I can't figure it out. Someone set up a repeating task that is no longer needed. I want to delete all of them in the future.
1 voteRepeating tasks are only supported through integration with Google Calendar and must be deleted on the Google side. If your sync is set up to make changes from Google to JobNimbus, then that should delete the connected tasks in JobNimbus as well (might take a little bit to sync and effect the change).
If your sync doesn’t affect JobNimbus from Google, you might have to pull a report in JobNimbus and filter by Task Title, putting in the exact name of the task, save that report, and then do a bulk delete function. You can learn more about that here: http://www.jobnimbus.com/blog/2015/01/14/how-to-delete-multiple-records-at-once/
Let me know if you need any more direction on this!

Remove zero values on estimates (leave as white space)
We can't always estimate based on a single line item so we frequently have line items that are part of a larger "Item". It would be great if no values are inputted for Price or Quantity columns then those columns (along with the amount column) would just show white space rather than $0.00.
1 voteYou can now use Sections on estimates, invoices, work orders, and material orders. Each section has a setting for showing the line items and totals, hiding the totals, and hiding the line items themselves.
You can learn more about these sections here: http://www.jobnimbus.com/blog/2016/11/22/financials-update-photos-sections-margins/

Permissions for Cost on estimates & invoices
I think that unit costs should be hidden from sales people. If a sales person knows the cost, it hurts their ability to sell. They think there is a huge profit in the job without factoring overhead, etc. For the sales group this should be hidden. A function for profit margin percentage markup on items would be great as well.

Ability to enter payments made before an invoice is created
Often clients will send in Insurance payments to us, before the work is 100% completed/Invoiced. While we are able to enter these payments in QuickBooks, we cannot enter the payments into JobNimbus. We need to be able to look at the Financials in JobNimbus & see that a credit (payment) exists. Then when the Invoice is created, the payment should automatically apply (or even give us the option to manually apply it).
1 voteYou can now enter payments independent of invoices, so even if you don’t have an invoice created, you can still record a payment to a contact or job. Learn more here: http://www.jobnimbus.com/blog/2016/06/30/june-update-x2-split-payments-mobile-2-0-beta/

Job Name is too long to sync to Quickbooks
When trying to sync to Quickbooks, we get an error that the job name is too long to sync to Quickbooks. Could the accepted number of characters be updated for the Job Name field to be in sync with that? At least for customers who are choosing to sync with quickbooks? Thanks!
1 voteQuickBooks has a hard limit of 41 characters for job names. Unfortunately this is something we can’t do anything about.
The way to get around this is to edit your JobNimbus job name to a max length of 41 characters and then attempt to re-sync.
If you’re sure the job name is under 41 characters and you’re still getting the error, please send an email to support@jobnimbus.com with more details so we can take a look.

This is currently possible in JobNimbus. To do this on the calendar there is a section on the left called Calendars and right below the list of Task types that you can hide or show, there is a link called “Show Completed Tasks” that, when clicked, will continue to show tasks on the calendar even when they are complete and they will just be displayed a little greyed out so that there is a noticeable difference between completed and incomplete tasks when viewing the calendar.
In the Tasks lists, there is a dropdown list at the top of the list that allows you to show Incomplete only, Completed only, or both types of tasks in the list. This dropdown list may not be visible until you click the Magnifying Glass icon next to the Add Task button.

Syncing with Google Calendar or better AcuityScheduling.com
I use AcuityScheduling.com which syncs to Google Calendar. Acuity has some fantastic features for allowing my leads to schedule there appt online. It would be nice to have a web to CRM form solution so I would not have to cut and paste a web lead to the CRM. Any work around suggestions.
1 voteYou can sync JobNimbus tasks with Google Calendar and if you have Google Calendar syncing with AcuityScheduling then that should work to link the 3 systems together.
You can turn on Google Calendar Sync by clicking on your name in the top right of JobNimbus in the browser and then clicking on My Info. The Google Calendar Sync section is the second from the bottom of the page.

Add a field for "location" when setting a meeting time in the JN Calendar
Our consultants have asked for a field when setting meetings on their calendars for the "meeting location". Can a meeting location field be added to the calendar appts?
1 voteYou should have a Related Contact with an address, and that will pull through to the Task on the Calendar and mobile app.

Embed Photos in Work Order
A work order with embedded pictures would provide our installers a visual of the required work.
2 votesYou can now add line item photos to your estimates, invoices, and work orders. You can learn more about that here: http://www.jobnimbus.com/blog/2016/11/22/financials-update-photos-sections-margins/

Will Quickbooks quit syncing with JN this year?
QB sent out a message that it would quit syncing with apps this year. Is there a solution planned? Or does this not apply to JN?
2 votesJust to confirm, we will continue supporting QuickBooks for the long haul. We’ve made some huge improvements, so hopefully you’re all good to go for the foreseeable future!

Feature to prevent accidental job deletions
When you select "Delete" to delete a job, Nimbus first asks you the question "Are you sure you want to delete this job?"
1 voteJobNimbus already displays a confirmation alert to make sure you really want to delete a job after you click “Delete”. What would you like to see in addition to this?

Tech Support Link On Dashboard
A way to reach tech support via the dashboard would be amazing. I'm in the process of still hunting for a link.
1 voteIf you click on the yellow “Feedback” button at the bottom left (same way you made this suggestion) and then click the “Contact Support” tab, instead of the “Give Feedback” tab, then you’ll be able to email us directly via support ticket.
That should let us help out if you ever have any questions or issues!

Quote Duplication to another user
Duplicate a quote to another user. I sometimes need to duplicate a quote and assign it to another user. It would be great if I don't have to recreate a whole new quote every single time.
1 voteOn the estimate’s action menu, you should have an option to “Duplicate”. Once you’ve clicked on this, you should be able to select another team member as the assignee.
Let me know if this isn’t what you’re looking for or if you need more help on this!

The calendar should be back up and fully functional again. We’re very sorry about the inconvenience but thank you very much for your patience.
Please let us know if you see any other issues that we need to address.
