Create/Edit Work Orders on Mobile
Will we be able to create work orders on the new app? This would be nice for writing out the punch lists. Right now we are using tasks and they are harder to track.
This feature is now completed. Thank you for helping us know what wanted.
If you have any questions about this feature contact support@jobnimbus.com.
Thanks again,
Aaron

Mobile work order creation reflects real-life usage of your app. The theory that 'n most cases work orders are created from the office' does not take into account that most of us are doing our service work in the field not in at a single site. This should be a top-priority as well as making the service mobile first.

My guys run all their own subs for trades other than roofing. Having the ability to fire off a work order for paint or something before they leave the homeowners house would be huge. This honestly should be a top priority.

Any feedback on having work orders added to the mobile version? If you aren't able to create/edit work orders can the option of being able to see assigned work orders and change the status be added similar to how tasks are setup?

We should be able to enter into a work order, add notes, get signatures, log time, update statuses, etc. from the mobile app the way many other service-based field apps allow you to. As of now, the app only serves to show you the pdf of the work order, and they are mixed in with all the other attachments. This does nothing to help with productivity.

I agree. We use WO's as the primary way we schedule and track production. I lot of that happens in the field. Not only do we need to be able to create WO's. We also need to be able to view the activity notes, status, and type. Attachments and tasks would be awesome and seems like a no brainier.
- The WO is basically its own mini job with-in the Job. -

Being able to create work orders and material orders on the app is something that really needs to happen. If we spend all this time creating estimate templates so they can be easily converted to work orders and material orders it makes no sense that we cant create those in the field and make more efficient use of our guys time. Forcing them back to the office every day to put together those items is a waste of time gas energy and money and defeats the purpose of having a mobile app.

My project manager and the scheduler spend a lot of time out in the field and would like to be able to create a work order from the app to get it on the board (calendar).
