A Toggle To Still Charge For But Easily Hide the Sales Tax Amount From Showing On The Estimate
We need to charge sales tax but it would be great if there was a toggle to show or not show that sales tax on estimates. We would like to just show the final total estimate number on the estimate. It presents well and homeowners and contractors alike prefer it.
I know there's work arounds but those just cause other problems.

The following may not be true in every jurisdiction but it is in the states where we operate: Another reason for charging sales tax but not showing it on the estimate, is that a contractor must legally must pay the amount in sales tax shown on the estimate to the state/governing body even if the cost of materials is less than anticipated. Of course if they use more, they still must pay on the extra also. But if sales tax is not shown on the estimate, then they only have to pay sales tax on the materials used/purchased for the job whether higher or lower than anticipated. This allows for a more accurate costs and not having to pay additional taxes.
