On the estimate be able to have options. So that the options do not all total together at the bottom. Right now it gives an unaccurate total amount.

You can add the “Subcontractors” field to any template by using the following:
1. Go to your name at the top right and choose “Settings”
2. Go to the Templates tab on the left side
3. Find the Work Order template and choose “Edit”
4. Click into the section you want to edit.
5. Place your cursor where you want this field to go.
6. Use the “Insert Template Field” option in the toolbar to choose: Work Order, then select “Subcontractors”
7. Save this section, then save the template itself. Now when you generate the new Work Orders, it will pull in whoever is set as the subcontractor on the Work Order at the time of creation.
Hope this helps!

documentation on coding for creating templates
I am trying to find a place where basic template coding is listed but I cannot find this in your help documentation. I need to know how to reference fields both already in your system and those we have added as custom fields. Thanks!
1 voteWe’ll be adding more to the “Help” section as we go forward. In the meantime, here’s a video that could help you out: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c8kf5ziip4ecvv4/DocumentBuilder.mp4?dl=0
To use Fields and Custom Fields, use the Insert Template Field option in the toolbar when editing your templates and you’ll find what you need there.

Subtotals for Sections on Estimates and Invoices
It would be helpful if there was a way to add subtotals throughout the estimate. For example, sometimes we have to do a subtotal for roof, a subtotal for gutters and then an overall total. Is there a way to do that already?
Thanks for the help!

Auto Populate Sales Reps Contact Information
Auto Populate Sales Reps Contact Information
When Sales people open and create their own invoice or pull template from a previously created drop down list. This would automatically pre populate all of their contact information. Currently I believe an admin has to create this for every sales person.
1 voteAs part of the templates, we build in the Sales Rep’s info by default (name and email address). If these fields have been removed from your templates, you can add them back in using the Insert Template Fields option and choosing the Sales Rep’s info.
The one thing we’re missing is the Phone Number, which is something we just haven’t built into the template system yet, but once we do then it will auto populate just like the name and email address based on the number they have in their “My Info” section.

PO Number on invoice
Customers PO Number on our invoice. Currently, we can make a custom field in the invoice but Like to have a drop down menu, i am a do environmental consulting and get multiple PO numbers for same job. since some jobs require multiple type of testing.
1 voteWe recommend using multiple Jobs or multiple Work Orders to track the individual pieces of work on a job, and then to invoice them separately as necessary.

Budget Global Stop-Loss % Manager Override
When setting budget limits within JN, i.e. setting the minimum gross profit percentage and minimum net profit percentage, the setting is a global hard limit and will not allow us to save the record if we go below the minimum set within the system. While we want to maintain certain job margins there are occasional times, for whatever reason, we aren't able to stay above the limit. We still need to keep the limits in place but we need to also continue to add the line item cost to a customers job.
Rather than having it as a global hard…
3 votesYou can set global minimum percentages for gross and net profit in the Budgets tab of your Settings.

invoices that show overpayment
I noticed today that our invoices don't show an overpayment on them. It would be nice to have that so that we are aware when putting in payments if the customer overpays. I originally showed a balance on an invoice and payments but when i put in the customer discount originally missed, the customer had overpaid but it's still showing a $0 balance.
