Estimate Options (e.g. Good, Better, Best)
On the estimate be able to have options. So that the options do not all total together at the bottom. Right now it gives an unaccurate total amount.

Subtotals for Sections on Estimates and Invoices
It would be helpful if there was a way to add subtotals throughout the estimate. For example, sometimes we have to do a subtotal for roof, a subtotal for gutters and then an overall total. Is there a way to do that already?
Thanks for the help!

Auto-Update Estimate Templates
Creating an estimate template needs to be able to be done in the settings. Needing to go to a random job > Financials > Add Estimate > Etc... Is less than optimal.
This brings me to my next point. Updating Estimate Templates. If I go into my settings > Products and Services, I am able to update the pricing of my material no problem. The problem is that these updates are not then updated on my Estimate Templates when I go to make one. I have to also update all the pricing on the templates. The pricing not updating for…
28 votesHi everyone! We're very excited about a new estimating tool we've developed--Smart Estimates that will solve this problem of template pricing becoming outdated.
In addition to always taking the current pricing from your products and services, Smart Estimates allows a user to create an estimate by simply inputting job measurements (either your own measurements or from an EagleView report--coming soon) and having the materials calculations done for you based on the template you set up. Save an already created invoice/estimate/material order/work order as a template
It would be nice to be able to save an already created invoice/estimate/material order/work order as a template. This would be helpful for a few different reasons.
The most recent example is an estimate was created but wanted to save it as a template for future use.
Another reason would be that maybe later down the road you realize you need to duplicate an estimate that was created in the past.
19 votesHi everyone,
The “Save as Template” button is now available for existing estimates, invoice, material orders, credit memos, and work orders. At any point you can save these documents as a template. This includes opening existing templates and duplicating them. Please let me know if you have any issues with the new functionality.
Thank you,
Adam

Estimates - material and labor cost with own markup
Currently items under products and services have three quantities, Cost, markup and price. It would be awesome to have: material cost, material cost markup, labor cost, labor cost markup and a final price. And on the estimate have those two extra columns as well with totals at the bottom.
Having this feature would allow us to track labor cost and material cost per job with out having to jump through a lot of calculation hoops to get there.
17 votesThank you for your input and votes on this topic. We recently added subtotals for Labor and Materials in all financial documents. Markup is displayed for all line items, including labor, and can be quickly edited.. The new markup slider allows you to quickly adjust markup for all line items in an estimate.
I would love your feedback on improvements we have made and if any changes still needed. -
Simplify the invoice payment and totals section (e-check/credit card options) and customer "checkout process"
Having two separate payment buttons, whether by e-check or credit card, can be a bit confusing for some customers. We've had a half-dozen customers send us a physical check for the credit card amount in the past year. I've attached a draft mockup picture to this feedback submittal to better illustrate the idea.

Option To Hide Subtotal
On estimates where we are giving several options we do not want the subtotal displaying on the bottom. It would be nice if there was an option when creating an estimate template to be able to take out the subtotal at the bottom.

invoices that show overpayment
I noticed today that our invoices don't show an overpayment on them. It would be nice to have that so that we are aware when putting in payments if the customer overpays. I originally showed a balance on an invoice and payments but when i put in the customer discount originally missed, the customer had overpaid but it's still showing a $0 balance.

JN Payments: Move credit card surcharge and adjusted total payment info to after customer selects Credit Card. Confuses e-check payers.
Illustration/example, attached. Instead of the largest font/bolded Total with included credit card fees (before knowing how the customer will pay), show only the actual requested amount and add an asterisk to the Credit Card option about the added fee, which can be calculated and included on the next page of the credit card selection page flow.

contractor signature line
State of Minnesota requires both homeowner and contractor signature on all contracts. It would be great to have the ability to do both electronically. It would be a needed feature for document templates and the signing ability of both parties on mobile.
3 votesYou can add multiple signatures now using our mobile app! This should allow you to comply with state and municipal requirements.
Give it a try and reach out to support@JobNimbus.com if you run into any issues.

Budget Global Stop-Loss % Manager Override
When setting budget limits within JN, i.e. setting the minimum gross profit percentage and minimum net profit percentage, the setting is a global hard limit and will not allow us to save the record if we go below the minimum set within the system. While we want to maintain certain job margins there are occasional times, for whatever reason, we aren't able to stay above the limit. We still need to keep the limits in place but we need to also continue to add the line item cost to a customers job.
Rather than having it as a global hard…
