Quickbooks Online- Categories, Classes, and DO NOT REPLACE PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Presently, we are experiencing a HUGE issue with the way that the sync with Quickbooks Online operates.
We created a completely new structure for pricing over the last few months as we have been trying to set up JobNimbus. In doing so, we created an entirely new selection of products and services in JobNimbus that we previously had in Quickbooks.
Apparently, in the sync... JobNimbus tries to match Products/Services. In our case, it didn't match these items 100% ... otherwise only a few P/S items would have been replaced. Instead, there was a more loose set of rules that it went off of to match items... for example... it matched "Standard Grading (over 10 yards)" with a simple "Grading" item in Quickbooks.
As a result, our class settings in Quickbooks Online have vanished, our charts of accounts are a hot mess, and our reports are all kinds of wrong.
Merging with our existing Quickbooks line items means that every. single. time. that we used those line items before syncing with JobNimbus has been replaced with the wrong line items, and it is no longer associated to the appropriate class, category, or account.
You all should really consider some sort of Beta review format that allows select customers from various trades to play in a designated sandbox account to test new features so that they obtain at least 80% perfection prior to launching. I for one, would be happy to participate in such a program.
