Automatically Add Forms To Documents Once Submitted
I’ve been using the Form Builder lately, and while it’s great for grabbing data in the field, there’s a manual "extra step" that’s becoming a real bottleneck for us.
The Request: Can we get an option to automatically save a submitted form as a PDF directly into the "Documents" tab of a job?
The "Why" (Real-Life Example):
Right now, it feels like double the work. My sales rep finishes a detailed inspection on-site and hits "submit." In his mind, he’s done. But then my office manager has to go into the job record, click over to the "Forms" tab, open that specific submission, manually download/print it as a PDF, and then re-upload it into the "Documents" section just so we can send it to the homeowner.
When you're doing a dozen inspections a day, that’s a lot of "digital housekeeping" that shouldn't really exist.
The "Version Control" Piece:
Also, if a sales rep has to go back in and edit a form (maybe they forgot a measurement or a photo), it would be a lifesaver if the updated version just re-uploaded as a new PDF. To keep it organized, it could just auto-append a timestamp to the end of the filename (e.g., InspectionForm10-24-24_2PM.pdf).
That way, we can see the history of the job without digging through the Forms tab or accidentally sending an old version to a client.
The Dream Scenario:
The sales rep hits submit, and poof—the PDF is already sitting in the Documents folder, named correctly with the time it was finished, and ready to be sent. It keeps the "Documents" tab as the true single source of truth without making my office staff do the heavy lifting manually.
Appreciate you guys looking into this!
