  1. The lead source field should be a short text field with pre populated information

    We have more than 50 lead sources, and having to scroll down through all of them has made me and my co-workers don't take this field into account when creating a job because we need this for our reports. Please help us organize this better by just allowing us to type the first letters of the source and then selecting it from a dropdown list of pre-saved options.

  2. Ability to assign custom roles

    Ability to assign tasks to an identified role in the company rather than an individuals name.

    For example, we can assign a task to the "sales rep" currently. I would like to create more roles. For example, I want to create a sales admin role, production admin role, supplementer role, and then assign tasks to the role, instead of a human name (user).

  3. Do not let information (Docs/Invoices) from Jobs flow into the contact.

    It is very confusing when a there are multiple jobs under one contact and all the activities, invoices, and documents flow into the contacts, activity, and documents.
    Each job should store their information individually and not have their files flowing and mixing in with other jobs that are under the same contact.

  6. "Contact Fields" and "Insert Template Field" Combined

    When you create an email template (especially for automation) you can easily select and insert a template field that populates information into the email (i.e. customer name, address, ect.). Part of the selection is "Contact Others" where you can select "Approved Invoices-Balance Due." This populates the amount due in the email, which is very useful. If you made it so that we could have the same option to use "Insert Template Field" when customizing the Contact Fields, we could do many things, including have the Balance Due right at the top of the contact.

  7. In JOB: Work Order tab to create report, to add custom columns, to have ALL Main Tabs as shortcut within the WO

    In Work Order tab:

    1. To customize the columns (trying to keep the same start date, which is the only one showing, but using the end date to reflect the progress (using the status changes, e. g. Start status: 7/1, In-Progress status: 7/3, Completed status: 7/5) therefore we can use the Start & End dates to create Gantt chart.

    2. To have the feature to download the work orders as csv. file to have a custom report per Contact or Job.

    3. Once editing and saving a WO, the page will go to the section within the WO itself, there is no way…

  8. 3rd tier of Customer/jobs

    We Do work for several builders that have PM's. We need to have a 3rd tier of jobs: Customer>Job (PM name)>Job Quickbooks supports this however JN does not. This makes it impossible for us to use JN for some builders because of this. We need the 3rd tier for sending invoices to the PM related to the job.

  9. Contact information showing display name instead of true contact

    When creating an estimate, previously the "First and Last name" was used. Now the Display name is used. Can this be changed back to show the clients true information instead of a nick name?

  11. Escape Key Function

    Currently, hitting escape while creating a contact or job closes the creation field. It would be better if it just removed the cursor from the current input field.

  13. Flag contact/job records when they have open tickets in a specific status

    We have a workflow and board for customer service jobs and our people need to know that a customer service ticket is open before calling a contact, so we'd like to have a red dot or a flag appear next to their contact and job name so we can always know when they have an open ticket. We need it to appear on their contact and jobs so that we can always know they have a ticket open from anywhere in JobNimbus.

  14. Move Boards Around, Create more flexibility

    On the board view, have the ability to move boards around and sort them out in sections.
    For example, when you are on the Contacts page in board view, say you have 10 boards but all the boards are lined up next to each other like sentences in a paragraph creating 2 lines of boards.

    Would like the ability to be able to move these boards around so he can have 4 or 5 lines (or sections)
    The best work around for this is to adjust the size of your browser.

  15. Search box delimits Board view to only the characters entered

    When you start typing, only letter combinations appear for the names of the contacts below. Perhaps you could extend the search to notes in cards as well. I.E. if you typed in John, anything with "John" would show up in the contacts/cards below such as John, Johnathan, Johnny, Johnie...

  16. Disable the ENTER key from being the same as SAVE. I'd like to be able to use EITHER the Tab key OR Enter key when moving through the form

    I'd like to be able to use EITHER the Tab key OR Enter key when moving through the form. Currently, when I hit Enter it CLOSES THE EDIT AND GOES BACK TO CONTACT PAGE.

  19. Business Card View for Contacts

    I’ve spent the last hour or so entering business card contacts into the system and it would be awesome if JN had a “Scan Card” feature to scan the front and back of a business card and a customizable board that allowed us to display the actual card image in a rolodex type fashion
