Why is the unit of measure before the quantity?!
There is not a person on the planet that would purposely put - Install Singles SQ 100 - on an estimate or a Scope of Work….Yet that is what we are stuck with.. PLEASE CHANGE THIS…. Or just allow minor tweaks for layouts of things…

Remove or change the Bold “Description” title line in estimates.
It’s distracting and blends with the section titles. Feels like it’s there by accident. An looks even worse with multiple sections… Also, each section should be in a separate table, they blend into each other and almost defeats the whole purpose of creating a new section when the only thing separating them is the awkwardly bold “Description”..
Or just make the font weight and size customizable…

Redundancy with Line Item Totals
Estimate subtotal, total, adjusted total is all redundant. Are we able to remove the option for adjusted subtotal or subtotal when no tax is applied?

Inspection report converted to work order
When converting an estimate to a work order, it would be greatly beneficial if the inspection report with pictures, descriptions, and other details were pulled over to the work order. We have a situation where the customer sees a great presentation with very detailed information about what is going to be done, but then we have the crew seeing (work orders) the bare minimum of information.

Labor and materials that came from SumoQuote into Job Nimbus are all wrong - labor is listed as materials, materials are listed as labor & materials. I have a project with a labor cost of over $2k, the system is saying my labor breakdown is $112.50 because my labor is coded as material. It was all correct in SumoQuote before our data was moved.

Enable the ability to delete the auto-contact info of the sales rep shown on the estimate cover page.
On the cover page of the proposal in the bottom left corner it automatically lists the email and phone number of the Sales Rep linked on JN. The issue is that this has been very confusing to the customer. It is just a random email and phone number listed right next to the customer's info, but shoved in the bottom left corner. See screenshot. How can we delete this feature?
I already have an introduction page about the inspector/sales rep built out on page 2 of my templates. Also, if we simply CAN'T remove that from the corner of the…

Add Templates to Quote Options w/o Overriding Entire Quote
I want to be able to add a template as a quote option w/o overriding the entire quote. For example, if we want to quote multiple shingle lines instead of just one, I want to hit the plus sign and pull in the template for an additional shingle option. I don't want to have to create multiple layouts or templates for each type of quoting combo or have to default the layout to multiple options that have to be deleted the majority of the time when they're not needed. Someone else also mentioned being able to duplicate the info from…

Automatically pull in proper tax rate based on zip code.
We would like the tax to be automatically calculated on based on the zip code, just as QuickBooks does.

Tokens
Pull siding, flat and steel tokens from hover rather than manual entry for 100% consistency. Some sales reps use wall openings plus windows, some use others. My calculations for waste are missing a lot when it is not catered to a consistent entry.

Estimate types or forced internal notes I can report on.
Estimate types or forced internal notes in template. I cannot figure out a good way to tie signatures to job type we sell multiple trades.

Tech Support
It is mind boggling to me - that we use this CRM - to convince our customer to buy from use - based on the estimates we create using this product. But when the estimator isn't working properly and you ask Tech Support for help - they schedule you a week out or more. For instance - I am using those measurement to calculate starter shingles - using this formula - and this is the estimate I receive - I have to wait until 12/12 and today is 12/4 to get assistance with this and other formula issuues I am…

Editing UM +Calculation
we need the abiltiy to edit the Unit of Measure - for instance I created a formula to calculate starter and used the LF as the UM - however on the products list that product is set up as a BD or BDL so the formula doesn't work - I tried to edit the UM on the formula created but it would not allow it. PLEASE give us the ability to edit the UM - just like we can edit the tokens and such. Thank you!!!

For simple estimates, allow users a cleaner way to insert our legal language.
Currently, we have to put any legal language into the footer of a simple estimate, and that creates way too big of a risk of our sales reps either not putting in our legal language, or using outdated language. Plus, the quote looks incredibly ugly when you shove the legal language into the footer.
There should be a way for our administration team to add our legal language to ALL simple estimates, and not have it in the footer.

Easier to use contract signing feature
Easily 1/2 of our customers get lost trying to sign the contracts from the emailed estimate. The PDF viewer misleads them that they should be signing it and the only way to sign is to click a non-descript blue button at the top right of the screen that is not obvious or easy to see that is labeled [Continue]
There should be a button that is always visible that says [click to sign] that maybe floats over the pdf viewer while scrolling through it instead of disappearing if they move down the viewer or email.
It is especially difficult and…

Customize size of columns for description, unit, qty, etc for both the proposal and the signing page.
The signing page is especially bad as the description gets smashed. Maybe putting the description text under all of them would allow it to spread out nicely and not increase the document length.

NSE Estimate/Quote details page - Line item name from Product & Services shouldn't populate, or if it does, should be better.
When creating an estimate in the NSE using a product/item from JobNimbus Product & Services "library/catalog", the Product Name is pulled into the first line of the item field and put in-line with the actual first line of the Product description. This causes the first line to look jumbled on the finished estimate. Attached is a screenshot of when creating the estimate, and one of what the customer sees. If an estimate has any amount of scope of work description, this adds to the jumbled look of a page with white and gray lines. Page numbers and breaks is another…

Estimate PDF file name default to job name
Currently, when viewing or downloading a PDF, the file name defaults to a long string of letters and numbers. This makes it difficult to quickly identify the file.
Proposed Enhancement:
Update the file naming convention so that the default file name uses the job display name. This will make downloaded files easier to organize and recognize. I think the way it was in sumo Quote was:{{companyname}} - {{Report typeName}}-{{Full_Address}}
Benefits:
Improves user experience
Makes file management more efficient
Reduces the risk of confusion when handling multiple files

"Pay in Full" Language on Customer's Signing Page
If financing is enabled on a sent estimate, on the Customer’s signing page they see a question, “How will you pay?” The options are “Pay in Full” and “Financing”. I think the "Pay in Full" language is limiting because you may offer 50% down/50% remainder or staggered payments. A better phrasing would be, “Do you want to use financing? Yes or no.” It accomplishes the same thing without confusing or misleading the customer’s payment terms if they don't want financing.

Enhanced Customization for Roofing Estimate Reports: Background Images & Legacy Templates
It would be highly beneficial for JobNimbus to allow users to upload custom PDF pages or background images for each section of an estimate report (such as Inspection, Terms and Conditions, Comparison Page, etc.) while retaining full field functionality. The goal is to streamline the customization process without sacrificing the dynamic capabilities (e.g., entering inspection data, displaying comparison info) that exist in JobNimbus’s native report templates.
🔧 Current Pain Points:
- Uploading custom-designed PDFs (e.g. from Canva) is possible but does not allow field integration, so every customer version must be manually updated in a design tool, exported as a…2 votes
