Sales tax Rate selection in JobNimbus integrate with QuickBooks
Currently when you create an invoice in JobNimbus, you select a tax rate for each line item. In QuickBooks Online however, the sales tax rate is applied on the entire invoice and, by default, is "Based on Location", which you can manually change to custom sales tax rates. Since Sales tax rate are synced between JobNimbus and QuickBooks Online, and you have to manually select the sales tax you want when creating invoices in JobNimbus, it would be nice if there was a way to tell QuickBooks you want to use a specific sales tax on the invoice when it…

Sync Job Address to Ship To in QB
We plan to use Jobs in JobNimbus, but the Job Address is mapped to BillTo in QB. The Contact Address is the for Customer who will be billed, the Job Address belongs to the jobsite, definitely not the one to be billed. The Job Address should map to ShipTo in QB.

sync "jobs" (in Nimbus) with "Projects" (in Quickbooks) in order to be able to run job costing reports on QB online.
The ability to sync "jobs" (in Nimbus) with "Projects" (in Quickbooks) will let us run job costing reports without having to manually transfer needed info.

Grouped taxes for Quickbooks
Quickbooks is now separating taxes by city and state, however, you can only select one or the other within JobNimbus when creating an invoice, which is a major problem. The only current workaround is creating a special "grouped" tax rate within Quickbooks. The problem with that is that it is not segregating the taxes within Quickbooks, and makes accounting more difficult.

Sync subcontractors in JN to contractors/vendors in Quickbooks Online
Right now, contacts set up as subcontractors in JN will sync to Quickbooks Online (QBO) as a customer. No way around that. Once added in QBO as a customer, their type cannot be changed to a vendor or contractor. All you can do is delete it in QBO and manually retype it in QBO.
For a business like mine, over 90% of our jobs are done by subcontractors. We have to manually double enter all subcontractor info PLUS manually double enter any costs (the amount we need to pay our subcontractors). This is a big shortcoming that opens the door…

Quickbooks A/P sync
We had expected it would have this feature as our last project management software did. We need to know our cost for each job before we can know what to bill the customer. Now we need to enter the information in both places. It takes more time than ever.
25 votesWe apologize that this wasn’t clear and that this is causing you more work. Definitely not something we want to do!
We have plans to update the estimating and budget systems to help you cost out your jobs better, that will help.
We’ll let you know when that becomes available!

Import Estimates, Work Orders, Etc from Excel or other Estimating Program
I do most of my estimating in Excel or another Estimating program. It would be really nice to quickly import my estimates and work orders into JobNimbus rather than having to manually enter all of my takeoff amounts again.
In addition adding some more reporting capabilities like Job Cost Codes or Item Numbers (or even just custom fields) would make it easier to use with other accounting systems than QuickBooks. This is really the biggest thing holding us back from adding more departments to JobNimbus.
