WePay - Allow Custom Templates When Sending WePay Invoices
Currently it looks like you can select a template and send it, but the client actually receives a generic "your invoice is attached" email from WePay. This is a problem because we want to tell customers to only pay half of the invoice amount upfront. Our email template that says that does not send.
Thank you for the feedback!
In the new Global Payments integration you are able to use whatever invoice template you would like and in the invoice note field you can define how much you’d like the customer to pay upfront and at job completion.
In 2022 we’ll be coming out with a better way to collect deposits as well. We’d recommend making the switch to Global Payments if these features would be valuable for you. They also beat the WePay credit card rate.

If you send the e-mail from the activities tab and use your own template it's from you, nothing to do with wepay other than them being the service we use. I'm not sure what you all are talking about? It's totally customizable. The only thing I don't like is that the only option for payments are % and not $ amounts. I'd like for us to be able to customize the $ amount that we are collecting instead of trying to figure out the % as we collect ACV upfront or we might collect deductible up front and remainder of ACV upon material delivery.

Why not just ditch WePay for a platform with better ratings, more safety, and lower processing fees?

I would rather be able to send my custom invoice so we can add out own language, thank the customer, etc.

Weighing in on this. A custom template would be so helpful! Also, is there a way to edit the current default template?
