Sections that group line items together
I think it would be immensely helpful for sections to group the line items together. Doing this would open up a whole list of possibilities, including:
-moving whole sections together instead of one line item at a time
-mass deletion of sections
-adding line items to specific sections
-creating work orders off of individual sections
-creating "pre-made sections" to add to estimates
Doing sections like this would solve a lot of issues my company has and covers some issues other posters have pointed out as well. Specifically, this would allow a more building-block way of making estimates so we could put multiple trades (roofing, gutters, siding, etc) on one estimate for a customer to sign. It could also possibly allow a selection when converting to a work order that we select a section(s) to make the work order off of, so we could give different crews the different trades as well.
Even if we didn't get to entering pre-made sections to estimates, if we could mass-delete a section/group, we could make a template that covers every trade and we could just delete the trade we aren't doing without having to delete every single line item. Putting the ability to add an item to a section at the end of each section would also make sorting and writing estimates faster, as another poster had mentioned in 2019.
If we got this functionality added to what we have, we would also be able to "hide line items" in sections to add up the line items as an easy to read estimate for a customer.
Obviously I don't know how the coding behind this would work, but I feel like this could make my work easier, along with many others'.

I just posted, saw this and then deleted a feedback post that I just made after seeing this post. I’ll include here although this existing post covers the two I shared and some additional great ideas!!!!
There are two things that I think would be game changers for estimates In Job Nimbus.
1) Templates for sections. Being able to compile a large project estimate from sections. We are in landscape construction so an example of this would be having all labor and materials needed broken out by Patio section, Wall section, Fire Pit Section, Plants section etc - each labor and material on each section changes for every job but the basics apply every time.
2) The ability to be able to add items anywhere in an estimate. Having to add from the bottom and drag all the way up on a large estimate is time consuming and frustrating. It would be super helpful to be able if there were a ‘+’ beside every line item where you could click it and it would populate a new blank item line under the line even in the middle or top of an existing Estimate
