Compatibility between web browser and app for contact and job fields
We originally had a variety of custom options (booleans, dates, numbers, options lists,) set up as contact fields and job fields, but then we noticed that regardless of the settings we chose, they all showed up as simple text fields in the app, which essentially made the options we had chosen useless (since our reps will be mostly be using the app). So information designated through the web, like a set option chosen from a drop down list for example, does not even show up in the app, and likewise, if information is given in a text field within the app, (for a category that is set as a date, for example), it doesn't show up on the web either. Very frustrating. So we had to go back and delete all the customized options for these fields and leave them as simple text fields so that they would be compatible with the app. But it would SO much handier for our reps to be able to utilize things like drop down option lists within the app.
Please contact support@JobNimbus.com or at 855-964-6287 for assistance with this. The fields should all be compliant, although some versions of the 2.0 app had pure text input for only the dropdown menu style field, but that’s new so it’s odd that it would have affected you guys.
Please let them know what’s going on with specific details including the fields you have in your account and they’ll be able to figure out what’s going on and get it fixed on your side or ours.
