Ability to have Contacts With the Same Name
Long story short, there is more than 1 Joe Smith on earth, and we shouldn't have to modify their display name to be able to enter them into the system. There are obviously other identifiers that will separate them, such as address, phone number, email address, etc. I've attached a screenshot of what the system tells me when I try to add another contact with the same name as an existing contact. I believe there should definitely be a warning about duplication, but it should be allowed. I think the warning should read:
"Warning: you are attempting to add a contact whose name matches another contact already in JobNimbus. Please confirm that you are adding a unique and new contact and not a duplicate of the existing contact."
Every computer system needs to have an identifier that is unique for that record. In the case of JobNimbus, the unique identifier is the display name. Without a unique identifier it won’t work appropriately with other systems especially financial systems like Quickbooks.

All you need to do is change the "Display Name". We've dealt with it for years in QuickBooks by adding the town to the end of the name but you could add numbers or any other identifier to keep multiple contacts with the same name

I agree. I am migrating 8000 contacts from a different CRM and have up to 20 different customers with the same name. if anything the rule should look at the name and the address and make a hard stop if both are duplicated.
