    It is there, but it's an unwieldy workaround. You have to relate the subcontractor to the job, and then they will be an option to send an email to. The problem is then that they will be related to all those jobs. You can remove them afterwards I guess.

    This also means that they must be visible to you. If you do not have visibility to all records due to your access profile being limited, then you can't search for them anyway, which is an issue for certain people like sales reps.

    This definitely seems like something we would do as part of “Company” support where if only a Company name is added, then it would change to a Company icon rather than a Contact icon.

    So this question could be rephrased as having workflow status "gateways" of sorts where they MUST pass through (and be approved) in order to progress to further stages of the workflow?
