Use a negative number in budgets
It would be helpful if we could add negative numbers to a budget for something like a material return.

You can do this and we do it all the time. You just can't do when you are adding a line, add the line first with a $0 amount and then change it to a negative number. It helps to create a template with a bunch of line items with a place holder like X or "material" and then you just edit the budget as you go with actual vendor/amount.
