I think we need a section that allows us to be able to create simple formulas with the estimate lines. For example: My team uses Hover for a siding estimate. They enter the linear feet of trim that hover displays for "Outside Corners" and it is in a "James Hardie Template". The formula I would need to write is: Outside Corner Linear Feet * .05 (round up) / 12 (12' is the length of the trim for James Hardie)

Don’t get hung up on Hover. We don’t always need a hover, but having that capability to convert a line item from one unit of measure to another using a simple formula would be much easier.

Also have to think of the supplier side. If the system that is built is trying to go from sales pipeline to production, then my estimates need to be able to convert to the supplier language. Instead of siding let’s look at bundle to squares for roofing shingles. We price and sell by the square, my supplier charges me by the bundle. 3 bundles to a square. How many times has it happened where you send over the material counts to the supplier and they read it as 25 bundles and not 25 squares ;)
