Option for Estimates to Sync with QBO upon creation AND be able to edit Estimate numbers MANUALLY
Right now, when we create an estimate in JN it does not automatically sync to QuickBooks until it has been ‘approved’, or the status has been changed to ‘sent’. This is causing an issue because the estimate number is not recording in QuickBooks upon creation of the estimates. If an estimate is then created in QuickBooks either by mistake or for any other valid reason, the estimate numbers become duplicated. When this duplicate estimate number occurs, my JN estimate will no longer transfer to QB because there is a confliction of duplicate estimate numbers.
To top it off, I cannot change estimate numbers in JN if a duplication occurs, I have to completely re-create a brand-new estimate in JN AFTER updating all the systems and manually organizing and re-numbering everything including setting in JN. Only after this ridiculous process occurs, I am then forced to re-create the entire estimate from scratch in order to get a new estimate number rather than just being able to edit my estimate number in JN. Sometimes I can duplicate the estimate instead of a full recreation but that has not always worked well and is still an additional step.
Ultimately, what would solve this issue is that any creation of an estimate in JN should automatically sync to QB (or at least have an option to make that happen for businesses that sometimes have to utilize both systems). If this sync occurs, there shouldn’t be an issue with duplicate estimate numbers.
If that is not something JN is willing to do, the other solution is to allow me to manually update estimate numbers.
Both options together would be ideal.
