Hold Smart Invoices
When creating a smart estimate template, it takes a lot of time. It also may take a lot of people to collaborate. I would like to save an unfinished smart estimate template. At this time I can only save it if everything has been filled out. If I run out of time, or need to take care of something that suddenly comes up, I will lose all of my effort.
I suggest adding a "Save and Finish Later" button to the template so that all my work is not lost if I do not have the time to finish everything.3 votes -

I am currently integrating and setting up our business in Job Nimbus.Products & Services (Material & Labor Items):
Love how I can sync a CSV file or Google Sheet to QBO, and again sync QBO to Job Nimbus to continuously populate new pricing. This is huge with how crazy our industry has felt the burden of constant price increases from our suppliers.

From an estimate or invoice I want to be able to go back to financials page instead of having to route back through the job or to the board.
I want the same thing from the Work orders page.

Printable signature lines for estimates or contracts
It would be great if the signature template field added a signature line to the estimate or document like a contract, that way the document could be printed and signed in person.

Change warning message text for when a user tries to edit an existing estimate
there's a warning message when I try to edit a voided estimate that says the estimate is approved, even if it was never signed.

Ability to add invoice line item number. This makes it easier to go over with your client with.

We want to be able to set estimates to expire after a certain time frame.

Searchable sections
Make sections able to be searched for. This way you can have a bundle of line items under a section name that represent something, like changing a skylight for example that will have material and labor line items pop up under it, then be able to choose a quantity for the section and a markup per section (we have different margins for different trades). It feels like the smart estimates are trying to do this, but this would be a great supplement to that and make a large portion of the other features in JobNimbus a lot more helpful.

Bold and Italicize Description
Be able to Bold and Italicize certain words within the descriptions so that things are clearly visible and can make for easier communication and understanding of the descriptions.

Why doesn't signature status update the estimate status?
If the signature status on an estimate is modified to fully signed, why would this not automatically update the estimate status to approved? That's the whole point of requesting a signature. This isn't even possible through an automation. The signature requests are clunky as is, but we require them on some jobs for liability reasons, but we have an automation that creates a task when the estimate is marked as approved but this doesn't happen if the signature status doesn't update the estimate status.

line item list
It would be really helpful to have a place where we could have a pricing list for all of our billable items. We can currently access them in financials when you type in the line item. Is there, or could you add a place where you can access all of those in one list or spreadsheet?

Ability to edit split payment dates after the first payment is recorded.
We need to be able to edit the payment dates on an invoice with split payments after the first payment has been recorded. Right now, once a payment has been applied you can't edit the other payment dates.

Custom Totals in estimates
Currently entering in line items and prices it adds up a total on the lower right. At times, we may not want to add prices to line items and just input a custom grand total. It would be nice to not have to input prices in the line items, or sections totals, and just be able to type a grand total into the sub total and total at the bottom of the estimate.

Edit Saved Estimates as a Data Table
I feel like this entire process to create "Saved Estimates" should be under the template settings (as it's own tab since there's a lot and I already don't like how clustered all of the templates are).
I would like the ability to re-name the templates and/ or bulk edit fields as a table of data (like a content manager for a website - see attached for example)
