Better Digital Signing work flow - Customers constantly calling to get help with the signing feature
Is there any hope of this feature being improved in the near future. We have to walk at least 25% of our clients through the process and it takes forever. Some we unfortunately end up having to have them print up the lengthy contract, hand sign and mail in. Here is the list of problems with the current set up (worst on the phone, but also bad on a browser) and some suggestions
When they click the [view and sign] button in the email body it goes to a PDF viewer that confuses them. They try to sign it by clicking on the viewer itself and get annoyed.
The button needed to actually proceed to the signing platform is discreet, hard to find and not worded correctly. There is a small "continue" in blue at the bottom right that they rarely see and find it hard to find. It should say SIGN in bold and should be at the top middle of the screen as well as stay on the screen where it is always present during scrolling of the pdf viewer.
If we do not use financing through your company, the finance button is obsolete and stupid. It shouldn't be there. This should default and pre-highlight to the pay in full
The pay in full should be worded different as it makes people think they need to pay in full during signing and that is rarely the case. It should say something like "We plan to pay with cash, check, ACH or credit card" Or just say "not financing"
Once they get to the signing section it is not obvious that they need to highlight the package they want in blue. For jobs with only one option it should already be highlighted but it is not. So when they scroll down to proceed it will not let them continue.
The optional upgrades are also not obvious. It is clunky and there is not direction to highlight them in blue if wanted.
Making some changes here would save my staff and salesman a ton of time not having to walk customers through something that should not be difficult to figure out, especially since companies like docu-sign have already mastered easier ways to do this and a more user friendly experience.
