Email Address Choices when sending Estimates, Work Orders, Material Orders, etc.

Currently when we go to email a work order the only email that is available to select is the contact email. Need to be able to select a user or enter an email.

Done! In a recent update, we added the ability to add additional recipients when emailing estimates, work orders, material orders, and invoices.

Additionally, you can use email templates when sending these out for a personalized message.

In a recent update, we made it so you can now use the “Email Work Order” feature to email directly to your subcontractors, and the “Email Material Order” feature allows you to email to your suppliers.

We have more plans to improve this going forward, including more address options on these items as well as when sending Estimates, Invoices, and more. Stay tuned!

This is definitely on our list! In the meantime, there are a couple of options:

1. Add your Supplier as a Related Contact on the job. If that Supplier’s contact info includes an email address, you’ll be able to choose that email as a recipient.
2. You can save the PDF of the Material Order to the Attachments on this contact and then send the email as a Note, attaching this PDF to that email. This gives you more options for customizing the email subject line, content, email signatures, more recipients, and other options.

It’s on our list and we’ll be getting it in as soon as we can!

Currently we offer more email options if you create a Work Order or Material Order from a Job, but we need to add those options and more to when it’s done from a contact.

In the meantime, you can save the PDF of the Work Order and/or Material Order to the Attachments on this contact and then send the email as a Note, attaching this PDF there and it will work for you.

It’s on our list and we’ll be getting it in as soon as we can!

Really need to be able to select from all emails associated with the file(contact and job). For example with a follow up service issue, Sending email to crew, salesman, project manager all with photos in file to explain everything that needs to be addressed.

When you send it as “add note” you need to copy and paste their email from elsewhere before you go into the “add note” therefore having a search for contacts function would help. … It should have them saved or a drop down for stored contacts that you can search for. You cannot go back to the page to search when already typing an email. And some contacts need the email sent to multiple parties.

One of these comments is back in 2015. Any update on this feature? Ideally, there is a CC or BCC box and we can include any email address or addresses of choice.

when I email invoice it appears i can only email the invoice to the customer. I'd like to email the invoice to both the customer and my office staff....

would like to be able to send work orders with out having to download and the email to subs.

We currently are so busy that we now have to automate our material orders. The problem is, we can't send this to anyone else except the customer. We would like the option to send the material order to the supplier, as the customer generally has no use for this information

When creating an email and attaching a document you are given only the choice of the saleperson and contact related to the job to email to. You have to type in the email of any other person you want to send it to. We send all material orders to several people and find it cumbersome to have to type in their entire email every time even though they are saved as contacts in Job Nimbus. Perhaps there is a feature we don't know about that would help with this?
