Add an overall markup to the estimate cost
I might be missing something, but the way it works now is to have a cost, then a price for each item, and the difference would be the markup. With this method, if our overhead changes, I would have to go through the whole products and services list, and increase the price for each item to compensate. If we could apply a markup directly to the total of the cost estimate, it would allow us to change the markup very easily on a job by job basis if we wanted too. Thanks
Not enough community interest.

Not enough interest?? Ask contractors, most of us need this. This is one thing that would cause me to switch software.

This would be extremely helpful as we operate on a cost plus system. We see our cost for the Job then add a markup percentage to the whole thing. Doing this in a line by line breakdown is not feasible for us.

Since we're synced with Quickbooks the only way JobNimbus takes inventory out of Quickbooks is going through an Invoice. With the prices we have per line item not really adding up to be the final cost for the customer. I wish we could manipulate the Total cost by hand. Just being able to add in our markups, labor and material cost without having to create a line item since its always different.

Adding an overall markup feature to estimates, If this were added as a percentage based option before subtotal it could be accompanied by a discount feature as well
The ability to hide or show pricing lines should also let me hide the subtotal feature and offer one final price

There should be a spot where we can add a discount with both percentage and dollar amount.

Additionally, you should have the ability to add a labor markup for Labor Burden (Worker Comp, Gen Liability, etc.)

example cost of 1 square of roofing installed is $177 the the profit margin is 49.5% = sales price calculated at $350 a square

You really need to add a discount feature to your estimates and an overall markup to the estimates as well. Every other estimating software out there has these features. I really was looking forward to the switch to job nimbus, but without those basic features I don't think I can justify switching to your software. You really need to add these basic features.

Take a look at Joist. in their application you can discount or add markup. We sell a lot of financing and this would be invaluable.

This would be a great function allowing and Item like financing to be a percentage of the subtotal. It will make the salesperson charge the proper fees and the homeowner will not be overcharged for a finance deal they don't take. Also a discounting function would be great as well.

YES. as it stands in order to add a profit margin to an estimate that profit has to be built independently into each items line item, or build a Profit listed item (which you would not want to show on an estimate) Being able to add a blanket say 30% profit to a final job cost without it showing specifically on an estimate is critical to the estimating tool being functional for use in the field which right now it is not.
Thanks.
