Color Coding for Workflow Types
Color coding is quite a blessing to the eyes. I find myself applying it to my everyday to visually see what's in front of me and my mind being able to sort of the different categories. It would be awesome to see Job Nimbus allow this for tasks, jobs, calendar... to apply what my tasks/jobs/events best falls under.
Set colors by workflow type for jobs, tasks, contacts, etc. Have those colors be assigned automatically based on the type that is chosen for the record.

Agreed, we need to be able to see various color options for different task types. The icons for different tasks do help but background color would stand out much better. Or assign a colored flag icon to a task or notification bubble as needed etc.
Also overdue tasks really should have a red background or red flag icon or something to help catch the eye of our (sometimes procrastinating) users.

I would love to have the ability to color a specific job based on custom fields within a job.

i would love to be able to color coordinate based on specific information on a job. Before, I would color coordinate jobs based on location, specific roofing material (tiles,metal,shingle, etc) I would put certain jobs in red when i knew they could not be moved. I used a certain color for skylights and solar panels. just be using different colors helped me know before scheduling the job that it was more complicated, or there were certain things to remind myself to double check the work order.

It would also be great if we could color code the text as well as the backgrounds.
So I could at a glance find jobs from certain contractors assigned to different crews without having to click on each one or switch between screens. -

It would also be amazing to color code based on Work Order Status. We are really struggling with using the calendar function for WOs because we can only assign them based on the salesperson or crew leader. At this point, it would be cost prohibitive for us to organize it by crew leader or work type. However, having some more color functionality and the ability to split a work order by crew type would be a huge help.
