Time-Based Automation (Delays, Conditions)
I wish I could trigger status changes, notifications, or tasks based on time.
Example 1: if no activity within "x" time, an email or task would be triggered.
Example 2: if a note/activity occurs between "x" and "y" times (say 7:00-9:00 am or between 11:00 pm - 5:00 am) an email or task would be triggered.
Example 3: If no activity/status change after "x" days, change status. Or if Days in Status exceeds "x", then change status or perform other action.
This feature is now completed. Thank you for helping us know what wanted. You can find more information about about time-based automations in the knowledge base here https://support.jobnimbus.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024907171-Time-Based-Automations.
If you have any questions about this feature contact support@jobnimbus.com or reply to this email.
Thanks again,
Aaron

The ability to set an Automation trigger whereby a Task is created if say 10 days have gone by with no activity(i.e., phone call, note, email) with or from a Contact or a Job.

This is similar to the suggestion titled "Rule conditioning for status change" that has 28 votes.
Looks like that request was received in november 2016 and this request was receive in April 2015. Why has nothing been done in regard?
You already show days in status, so you would just need to be able to set tasks based on that parameter.I think everyone would greatly appreciate an update. Thank you!

This is a high priority item if JobNimbus is to become a great player in the sales process. Currently, I have automation set up so that an email is sent when a status is changed. What I really want is to have the status change, but DELAY sending the email until a future time, just like Michael says.

Yes, we need TRIGGER based on # of Days in Status.

MUST HAVE!
Trigger: Time in Status is equal to x daysPlease add this trigger. It would be an incredible benefit to have actions such as emails, tasks, or status change based on time in status.

Would like "days in status" to be something we can use in automation. I would like to have some automation to trigger an email to go out and the status to change after XX number of days in a certain status.

When something reaches a certain number of days in status, have the ability to have an automatic email sent.

I agree, the current parameters for triggering automated tasks result in a flood of no longer relevant tasks. For example if I create a task for follow up on unapproved jobs, the task gets created as soon as the job does. So then if the job gets approved, the task for following up still remains even though its no longer needed. It would be better if automated tasks could be triggered by days in status. This is important for minimizing the quantity of automated tasks that get created and only creating relevant tasks.

you can already do this with authomations. Just set up the template for the email.

This would be great to remind us of lien dates.

It would be great to be able to set a workflow to archive on aspecific schedule. For example: After I invoice a job I would like to leave it on the board for 30 days and then have it be archived instead of right away!

This is one way to have tasks created on a delay function. We need to have followup automation without flooding our task box.

It would be nice that if you could set time restriction to the lengh of time a job is in a particular status. For example. if a job is in the pending estimate status for more then 5 days it would be great if we could have that set off a trigger to notify the manager to look into it.
Also would like to be able to give permission to have certain profiles only be able to put a job into a status but not be able to remove it and vise versa. Certain profile can pull out of a status but not put it in. -

ADD a Status condition which says: "If (status age) is equal to/not equal to (x days)"
So that I can process follow-up tasks based on the age of the status (If a status gets changed before maturity, the task wouldn't run). -

Maybe even become compatible with ITTT so you can incorporate dropbox features, weather forecasts, and other useful tools.

In automation I can create tasks so many days from now/when it is triggered.
I cannot do the same with Send Notification. It just sends on the day of being triggered.
I want to be able to change Job Status to completed and automatically schedule my next Task/job AND send a reminder email out to the client so many days out also to remind them.Ex. I provide quarterly services. Job is marked completed. A new task is scheduled 75 days out and and an email is sent to client 74 days out asking them to look at their calendar to schedule the next quarterly service.
JUST ADD SCHEDULING TO Send Notifications like you have on New Task under Automation. Thanks!
