  1. Create a job section for notes only. Notes get lost within all of the activity updates.

    If there was a dedicated notes section in each job, it would be easy to see all progress within the notes.

  2. subcontractor

    We need to be able to better track monies going in and out. As a solution, we were told to list our vendor/subcontractor/material payments under "commissions" in the budget report. Doing this does not allow us to view a detailed report, organize it in any way, and generally doesn't work well for this purpose. We would like a better solution meant for tracking our payments out and not just payments in.

  3. A place to identify a project manager, as the main assignee to the project.

    A place to identify a project manager, as the main assignee to the project. Like the Salesman, and Subcontractors are on assigned.

    Looking for a way to assign a "User" as the main manager and internal contact for a project, and the salesman are typically not project managers. This will help internally with identify employees to the correct person to followup with on a particular project.

  4. When filling out the JOB INFORMATION, please give us the option to enter both a physical address and separate billing address.

    Many of our customers are big companies (their physical address is different than the billing address). So when processing credit card payments over the phone, it says that the payment failed because "address mismatch."

  5. JOBS users that dont use CONTACTS for certain features should be able to block/disable those features

    We need the ability to prevent notes, emails, tasks, files, and financials from being created on the contact, and only created on JOBS.

    In our company, we track everything through the job itself and not the CONTACT. Sometimes the employee ends up on the CONTACT details and starts to create these items thinking they are on the JOB, and then mistakes begin to happen because they thought it was noted, or an email sent, and there is no evidence of it on the job for other team members.

    This could be at the account level or from ACCESS PROFILES

  6. The lead source field should be a short text field with pre populated information

    We have more than 50 lead sources, and having to scroll down through all of them has made me and my co-workers don't take this field into account when creating a job because we need this for our reports. Please help us organize this better by just allowing us to type the first letters of the source and then selecting it from a dropdown list of pre-saved options.

  7. Duplicate Estimates Between Jobs

    When you have an estimate that is already written but either put on the contact or under the wrong job you should be able to duplicate it and choose the job you want it to go to. Instead of it just duplicating directly into same job and place. Duplication is not useful with out being able to move it.

  8. Option to auto-populate job-information from related-contact

    Option to auto-populate job-information from related-contact (In form of checkbox in the “create job” window).
    For our use of JobNimbus, we rarely have a contact that has different information than the contact. Because we use jobs, there is a lot of repetition when we have to re-enter the same contact information to the job in turn decreasing efficiency over time.

  10. Do not let information (Docs/Invoices) from Jobs flow into the contact.

    It is very confusing when a there are multiple jobs under one contact and all the activities, invoices, and documents flow into the contacts, activity, and documents.
    Each job should store their information individually and not have their files flowing and mixing in with other jobs that are under the same contact.

  11. Staying Put

    When I am viewing a Form Response (or work order, etc.) and I am done and hit the Back button, I would like to be taken back to the list of Form Responses instead of being taken to Activity. If I have several Forms to look at, it is exceedingly frustrating and inefficient to have to click on the Forms tab every single time. Just leave me where I'm at.

  12. Custom field that can be used as a web link

    Custom field that can be used as a web link to a 3rd party source. Our instance is linking to a project's property appraiser's details on their website. But I see this being used with potential links for other things like videos, real estate listings, and/or maps or survey websites.

    I would see it being deployed as the fields name, and a blue link just to the right that says " [ Link ]"

  13. Drop Down List For Project Manager and Superintendents

    I would Like to see a drop down list for different job contacts names and email addresses. I have several General Contractors have have mutiple managers and superintendents per job. I hate changing the main "Contact" email and name every time I want to email a different superintendent on different jobs.

  14. Auto Create Jobs

    When a Contact reaches a certain stage , say verbal agreement, allow for JN to auto create Job Object. Other CRMs have this with their respective objects. Would help office staff.

  15. Be able to add notes, and schedule

    Whenever creating a contact/job being able to add a note and tag the salesman from that screen, also being able to schedule at the same time so when you save the job everything is done. Instead of saving the job still having to go add a note then having to still go under task to schedule.

  16. Create SubFolders for Jobs

    It would be great if we could create subfolders under jobs so that photos and documents can be placed in each of the subfolders.

    For instance, we get a project for renovating 10 apartments. We call the project ABC apartments and under that we need to be able to create subfolders, one for each apartment so the pics and docs are easily separated.

  17. Custom Auto-Generated Job Name

    we can set a template for the jobid for generation, but the actual job name is not customizable and only carries over the customer name. For instance, our company has had a project naming system that included contract details and address details in the jobid. We will be taking away that now, but our job names would look like Smith Project 22-06123-D4 or Wick (Main) Project 22-06321, Main referencing the street they live on, the numbers 321 in the JobID being the street number.

    The main reason for including the JobID in the name is we may have multiple projects…

  18. Contact info under the job for job specific contacts.

    It would be nice to be able to list a specific contact under a job that is different than the parent or main contact name. For instance, when a property management company had different people managing different properties it can get confusing on how to organize the info. ie: Bigg Properties is the main billing contact. John is the rep for project A. Jamie is the contact for project B. I can link each contact to the job and keep the primary contact as Bigg Properties but when Im creating proposals I have to manually go in and type in…

  19. In JOB: Work Order tab to create report, to add custom columns, to have ALL Main Tabs as shortcut within the WO

    In Work Order tab:

    1. To customize the columns (trying to keep the same start date, which is the only one showing, but using the end date to reflect the progress (using the status changes, e. g. Start status: 7/1, In-Progress status: 7/3, Completed status: 7/5) therefore we can use the Start & End dates to create Gantt chart.

    2. To have the feature to download the work orders as csv. file to have a custom report per Contact or Job.

    3. Once editing and saving a WO, the page will go to the section within the WO itself, there is no way…

  20. 3rd tier of Customer/jobs

    We Do work for several builders that have PM's. We need to have a 3rd tier of jobs: Customer>Job (PM name)>Job Quickbooks supports this however JN does not. This makes it impossible for us to use JN for some builders because of this. We need the 3rd tier for sending invoices to the PM related to the job.
