Phone Number Field in Jobs
When creating a jobs I would like a area to enter the persons phone number so it can appear on the top of the page when I am looking at the job. I don't want to click on contact to pull up a number.

Good news! We are planning to improve this functionality in an upcoming release. Phone numbers (and other contact information) from the related Contacts will be displayed prominently on the Job view screen. This will mean you no longer have to click into the Contact from the Job to find the phone number or email address.
We expect this update to release in the next 30 days.

Have a Secondary Contact option within the Job and the ability to One-Click Call them from the app. Having the contact's names next to each phone number would also be very helpful in this scenario.

It would be nice to have a phone number that you can add to a Job.

I'd love to see a Contact's phone number & email address visible on the client's Job page where we can currently see the site address. Currently you must click back to the Contact for this information.

JN already has the phone number and email on the contact, shouldn't it be simple to have it carry over to the job the same as the address? It would save a lot of back and forth.

Having to click on the primary contact just to see a phone number is problematic when people forget to go back to the job to add notes or documents believing they are still in the job.
It is also one extra step that needs to be done.

Would like to be able to add a phone number to Job, not just Contact, in case there are different phone numbers for the two.

I came here to say the exact same thing that you all have been saying!

Why does this say "Planned" from 2013 and 2016 and it's still not done?

Why is this not on here?? And Why is the contact number not visible when you're in the job? Ridiculous if you pull up a job you have to then go to the Contact in order to find a phone number.

THIS!!! The info on the Contact Card should automatically copy over when a job is created. Or at least an option to copy it.

This drives me absolutely crazy as well!
We have worked around this - kind of - by creating custom fields on the Job workflows for Primary Phone and Primary Email but it is not ideal by a longshot. -

I'm in agreement here. We need to be able to keep consistency and lower the error rate due to multiple manual entry.

Totally agree with this need! Yes, some jobs will have different contact information but a lot of them will have the same information at the contact. If you have the ability to edit as needed there isn't any reason for the contact information, including the email and phone number, not to transfer when a job is created. It would save time in both the office and the field if you didn't have to flip back and forth between the contact and the job.

I would love if the contact information, INCLUDING the phone number and email address, would populate when creating a job from the contact. I spend a solid part of my day adding this information from the contact to the job. I tried contacting JN for help with this, but I do not think they understood what I was asking. Hopefully they see this thread.

It would save my office literally multiple hours every single week if you could have Contact name, email, phone numbers auto populate into the job. Currently we have to do this manually which is costing us hours in lost productivity every single year.

Add contact phone and email to job information so that we do not have to leave the job and go to the contact to find the phone and email.
