We’re running into a problem with the 50 entry limit within an “options/drop down” style custom field. If the 50 entries limit can’t be increased which means more custom fields need created, the feedback/idea posted here could be very helpful, e.g.: if have fields for a specific manufactures style/model, then when choosing that field, a “related” field could be populate with specifics such as color, size, etc. options for that manufacturer. We’re a roofing company, but the application could be helpful across many industries.

Thanks for your submission! Could you let us know a couple of examples of info that you’d like to enter here but can’t fully because of the current limit? Also, if you could provide an estimate of how many fields, besides unlimited :), would meet your needs?

I’m going through and looking for custom field feedback post. I’m not sure about the quantity of custom fields available within a Contact or Job, but definitely agree that it’d be useful for all the same reasons “The ian” specified. Not exactly related, but we’re wanting to limit errors for shingle color name entries, and the limit of 50 entries for an “options/drop down” style custom field isn’t enough. Using an “open text” field leaves it open to a lot of keying errors. We’d rather not have to use multiple custom fields for the same intended information, which would then limit the number of total custom fields available.

Good news! We are planning to improve this functionality in an upcoming release. Phone numbers (and other contact information) from the related Contacts will be displayed prominently on the Job view screen. This will mean you no longer have to click into the Contact from the Job to find the phone number or email address.
We expect this update to release in the next 30 days.

We were frustrated as well, since we utilize “created documents” for many purposes, and were told there wasn’t the ability in JobNimbus in regard to created Documents. However, there is, and without having to have an employee electronically/digitally sign. I have a feeling a lot of people don’t know of this feedback side of JobNimbus, so if this Post for “Notifications for When Document is Digitally signed” could start showing it’s getting some attention, and JobNimbus would contact us with how we’re achieving automatic notifications when a document’s been signed, we’d be happy to share, but it’d be great for the info to be added to the Help Center and all users be notified via the announcements. If it’s been included in any help sections by now, I’ve missed it. Generating some interest in the post might get it some attention.
