Move Invoice and Estimate to different Contact
When there is an error with linking an invoice/estimate/etc to a wrong account, I am unable to find an option to change the "contact" to the correct one when I open up the document. Please make the "contact" field editable like other fields are in JN.

We frequently find ourselves mistakenly putting an estimate or invoice under the main contact instead of the job. It seems like we have to delete and completely re-do the estimate when that happens. It makes a lot of unnecessary work! And, like Tia, having a new document number is a big problem.

Its a shame that this functionality was removed!! And, its been almost 2 years since this request was made to restore it, but sadly no.one from JobNimbus has addressed the concern. I echo the comments below and the votes indicated here (and who knows, possibly even in a related suggestion) - restore the ease of having a drop.down for the "Contact" field in a financial document... so that when a change is made to the related Primary Contact, by opening the financial document, we (JobNimbus customers) can select the correct associated contact. (By the Way - if JobNimbus developers think that just saving a financial document and recreating a new one using the saved one is the best solution, please think again... often times in my contracting world, the financial document is either already signed and/or agreed upon when the related Primary Contact changes and creating a new financial document defaults to a new number which throws all internal operations and external customer tracking askew).

We use to be able to change the contact on a estimate after it is created. This is a real big problem for us since our bill to often changes. we cannot copy line items to a new a estimate so we have to rebuild our estimates all over again which is VERY time consuming. Can it not go back to how it was???

This NEEDS DONE ASAP! such a pain not being able to edit the contact or the job on an estimate for invoice. I've had to recreate multiple estimates from scratch now just because I can't edit the contact info.

@Karmella
You can indeed reuse estimates and invoices, you just need to use the option at the bottom of your estimates called “Add to Saved Estimates” (or Invoices, if you’re doing an invoice).
Then, when you go to create a new estimate, you use the dropdown menu at the top of that new estimate to choose from your Saved Estimates and it will auto-fill the information for you, you just change the quantities for each item (or add & remove line items that you need).
If you have further questions, please contact support@JobNimbus.com or call 855-964-6287 for assistance.

The company we were with before allowed you to save estimate and invoces and reuse them with other customers. We specialize in only a few trades and it would be so much easier to be able to reuse estimate and invoices and change the customers name, instead of having to start from scratch each time.

I think you could change the contact before on the estimate when you went back into edit it. Now it does not allow you to change the contact. I would like it to go back to how it was.

In the past, we were able to edit an estimate and change the contact. This happens quite frequently for us, a contractor will contact us with the initial details and for the estimate. Once the job becomes a contract, the homeowner will request to be the primary contact and needs updated copies of the proposal with their name.
Previously, we could simple add a new contact to the job and make it the primary contact. Then, edit the proposal/estimate and choose the correct contact from a dropdown menu.
This functionality seems to have disappeared and we need it back please!
