Add unit of measure to Estimate Details in the Estimate Layout
Unable to show both quantity and unit of measure on an estimate layout for the estimate details page. Also, no control over what quantity is showing... measurement or order quantity. Example, I estimate 20SQ in asphalt shingles and include a formula in the order calculation translating SQ to bundles. Bundles are what are showing as quantity in the Estimate Layout/Estimate Details pages.So, in summary, can only show a quantity and the quantity is not translatable to the homeowner who may be comparing multiple bids and looking to see if quantities are similar across contractors.

Change order
There is no easy way to do a change order for a customer. They do happen often enough where it's a thing. We have a workaround using Legacy estimates, set as a change order, and then converted to a work order set as a change order.
It's needed under the Estimates because it does affect the project price.
As we use the new experience, I'm worried I'll lose that work around

Internal notes on new estimate function
No longer have the option to put an internal note for estimates.

Ability to set the required margins per workflow not just one overall
Having more than one type of job we do, we have different required margins and there is an option for only ONE set margin. I'd like to have the ability to set the required margins per workflow, not a blanket margin.

Simple Estimates for Insurance Companies
When sending an estimate to an insurance company it only needs to be one page with minimal details, in the NSE Estimates when creating a simple layout it's still 3-4 pages. The insurance company doesn't need an estimate with the fancy professional look that we provide to our customers. Before doing away with legacy estimates, can more customization be added to the NSE Estimates to allow for condensing the visual elements and additional pages?

Invoice Split Payment Terms - custom
With the custom terms on invoices - Please consider allowing us to put in custom amounts instead of percentages.
For instance we always collect the deduct separate when we do insurance jobs. It would be helpful to be able to have a custom payment due for the deductible amount.

Material cost in the estimate should reflect the total coming from supplier INCLUDING TAX
When preparing an estimate, there should be an option to calculate the tax that will be paid to the supplier along with the material order. This ensures that the material cost in the estimate reflects the actual total cost, including tax, rather than just the pre-taxed subtotal of the materials needed. Since this doesn't currently build in the tax we will pay to our supplier, the tax that ultimately is charged on the material list cuts into our profit margin since it wasn't accounted for in the estimate.

Easier to Include Company as Default Signer on NSE Estimates
In legacy estimates, we could easily add a company representative to sign the contracts. My attorney tells me our contracts are not valid unless both parties sign. Please make it easy to add the sales rep or company owner, etc, to the list of signers, with the ability to sign from within JN. Even better would be if the company representative can automatically have their signatures added to the contracts.

Marking a estimate as signed
If a customer has verbally agreed to an estimate and we mark it as signed, don't want an email sent to the customer or the option to decline the email being sent asking for the deposit. Want to be able to mark it as signed so that we can convert the estimate to an invoice.

Progress Billing and Partial AR Closure on Single Invoice
For insurance restoration projects with long supplement approvals and multiple trades, JobNimbus currently requires either a single open invoice or multiple invoices, neither of which aligns with industry payment practices.
Requested Improvements: 1) Enable progress billing on a single invoice, allowing partial payments to be applied and portions of the invoice to be marked as completed by phase or trade. 2) Update AR reporting to show progress payments and remaining balances against the total supplement amount. 3) Allow tracking of work completion by phase or trade within the invoice, using custom fields or structured notes.

Customize the Estimate Detail Page
It would be great if we could customize the estimate detail pages with things like logos or designs. Even a basic PDF page that acts as the background for the line items would be good. That way when we customize the pages we could make them all uniform. This would go for other pages to like the Auth page.

Allowing a manually logged payment to apply to a specific split payment in an invoice
Currently, if you log a payment manually and apply it to an invoice that has scheduled payments at different stages or progress through a job, you can select which split payment to apply it to. On the invoice, it will remove the split payment name of "deposit," for example, and only say "payment" with the date. Overall, it looks kind of rough and confused for a customer, especially since the customer has access to this invoice.

Multiple Spots for Signature/Initials in NSE
It would be nice if we had the option to insert a signature/initial field in the Estimate for NSE. Right now, there is only the one signature page available, and this doesn't work for our business at this time. Currently, we are sending our Project Agreements through Adobe Sign, but would prefer to have everything in one place!

Custom Page with Photo Attachments in NSE
Currently the only way to attach photos to NSE estimates is via the inspection page. Would be great if we could add them on a custom page as well, like how we can add pdfs to additional pages.

Show total with sales tax on upgrades page before selected
Currently, you have to select upgrades and be one step from signing the estimate to see the total tax applied to the upgrades. This makes it hard for anyone who is going to be paying with a check, which simply goes off of what the estimate says without actually selecting options.

The rep or person assigned to be able to be a authorized signer. So both homeowner and Rep can sign
The thing is you have to manually put the name of the rep and also the email for both to sign. It would be so helpful if the rep that was assigned to the job is another signer along with Homeowner.

Emailing Estimate to the customer
Have the email template that is set up show up in the email box when sending the estimate to the customer so that we can see that there is a message there and it doesn't look like a blank message being sent to the customer.

Additional Item Types for Products & Services
Currently you can only identify a product or service as 'labor' or 'material'. This makes it difficult to accurately job cost when we have to include other items/services in our estimates and jobs such as equipment rentals, disposal fees, permits, and other administrative/miscellaneous costs that don't necessarily fall under 'labor' or 'materials'. It would be nice to be able to categorize those items accordingly so we can accurately budget for these items.
Additional item types could include:
Equipment
Disposal
Other (this would be for any other product or service that doesn't fall under labor, material, or the two listed above)3 votes -
Information hidden on the estimate also hidden on the invoice that was converted
Having invoices that are converted from an estimate reflect the same hidden information such as pricing, quantity, sections totals, etc.
