Easy differentiation between Labor & Materials (Products & Services)
Most jobs we bid as price of Labor + price of Materials. Our residential customers typically want to see both types of pricing related to the various Remodel Items we're bidding. Our current Microsoft Word/Excel model allows us to designate an item as Labor or as Materials. I have a possible solution for you all to consider. Please respond if interested. THANKS!

Labor & Material is now available from the web app! Just go to your Products & Services to enable this feature.
We hope you enjoy this feature and look forward to bringing you more awesomeness in the future.

Splitting labor and material is a good thing for estimates but it would be helpful to have the ability to use only materials for material orders and R F Q 's while using only labor dollars for work orders .

Looks like you made it to where we can price out each product/service into "Material/Labor" costs which is nice. I can use my labor cost to generate P.O.s for my vendors which is solid. The problem is I can't do this on W.O. The Work order shows the line items for the material costs which just creates more distractions for those performing the job and requires someone to zero out those numbers. I ONLY want the cost for labor to show up on work orders allowing me to fix costs with my subcontractors before the work is done.
In a perfect world I would like to see price show up on estimates and invoices while showing ONLY LABOR cost on work orders and ONLY MATERIAL cost on Material Orders.

I really need to differentiate my costs between material costs and labor costs. Each item should have a box for each, and then calculate the total cost of the item by combining both of these.

We would also find it very valuable to separate line items into Products and Services, not just for the customer but also for our own benefit when trying to find out how much we are paying out to our subs for each job.

We need to break out Labor & Material for our lines items. Contractors can remove the material costs in order to lower their insurance costs.

When working with insurance companies for storm restoration the
tax on the materials are wrapped up with labor also. It seems like
all insurance companies do it differently.
The standard tax % will not work
I am currently having to add a line item to just put the taxes in.
the bad thing is the invoices end up saying $0.00 on taxes at the bottom of the invoice also. -

Instead of having to enter "Labor" and "Material" costs into separate item slots on my "estimate/invoice" document templates in order to properly allocate tax, I'd like it if JobNimbus could generate the tax cost based on entry of "In-shop/On-site Hours" and "Material Cost" values that are inputted on the initial job screen. That way the customer doesn't have a view of the breakdown, unless need be.
Thank you for the consideration -

This is something we would see very valuable.
Is there any way to divide the costs of material into material cost and labour cost? This would make it much easier when sending POs to suppliers and WO to crews so they know the amounts to compare their invoice to and know the amount the crew is getting paid?
