Hidden Section Visibility After Sending
While building the estimate, you can hide sections if you would like to in the newer estimate system. Once they are sent, however, there is no way to re-track and see what was in those hidden sections. I'd like to be able to have a tab (like the upgrades tab or the tab that has the 3 estimate options) where you can see these hidden items, as sometimes they are crucial to look back and see. I'm not sure why we wouldn't have access to see this, as it is currently sets.

When trying to attach an invoice to an email you can no longer see if the invoice is paid or open. Add a column that shows its status
We don't need to see the column that show the kb size of the file. We need to see paid & closed with the amount and date or open invoice and the amounts.

Estimates that can be different signature docs
Turning off estimate details + signing should convert the document into a “report” or custom doc type
A new document mode (e.g. “report” or “custom doc”) alongside Standard and Simple, defaulting to no estimate, stored as a document in the job

Actual profit margin after commissions
Need a tile at the top for actual profit margin after commission - the current actual profit margin calculates the percentage only before commissions are taken out

Profit Tracker - Commissions Data Needed
I used to use the old Budgets to track company commissions and the reporting for that was great. Profit Tracker's Commissions in the Insights section does not include important information that is very much needed -
Add who last updated the PT and date changes were made.
Date commissions are marked Paid - not latest update or modified... MARKED PAID.
Add Custom Fields. Our reps use generic logins from the company, but we update their names as "Assigned Project Manager". Insight's Commission only show the Sales Rep. For us, this is a general login and doesn't tell me WHO the…

Custom Product & Service Types (Material, Labor, Services, etc.)
Add a category for services that aren't labor or a material to help track services -- making reporting for labor easier.

Add note/task to profit tracker
Have the ability to assign/tag/comment on a profit tracker. For example, tagging team members directly on the profit tracker when a job is over budget, if there are discrepancies or confusion, etc.

Calculate % of planned cost for budget
When entering planned costs have the option for it to automatically calculate a percentage of that amount to easily create a budget that targets a specific profit margin for the project.

Add unit of measure to Estimate Details in the Estimate Layout
Unable to show both quantity and unit of measure on an estimate layout for the estimate details page. Also, no control over what quantity is showing... measurement or order quantity. Example, I estimate 20SQ in asphalt shingles and include a formula in the order calculation translating SQ to bundles. Bundles are what are showing as quantity in the Estimate Layout/Estimate Details pages.So, in summary, can only show a quantity and the quantity is not translatable to the homeowner who may be comparing multiple bids and looking to see if quantities are similar across contractors.

Profit Tracker Metrics
We should be able to choose all 5 favorite metrics. As of right now you cannot change planned revenue and planned cost from your favorites. I want "Actual" numbers, not planned. We do not utilize these so why are we forced to keep them on our favorites instead of the ones we would prefer?

Set default tax rate
When creating net new invoices, we should be able to set a default tax rate.
Usually tax rate comes from an estimate, but at times invoices are created without an originating estimate.1 vote -
Prevent Autosave from Overriding Other Changes
The auto saving feature can actually make a lot of progress lost if user A is working on the Estimate for an hour but then user B still has an old version open, and they make one tiny change. Having some kind of warning or update for user B would be helpful

Add ability to change font size on Footer in Simple Estimate
The font size in the Footer notes in the Simple Estimate is way too large. It is much larger than the item descriptions. Footer font size is typically smaller than the rest of a document. Add the ability to change the font size. This enables me to put T&C in the footer for Simple Estimates. Otherwise, there are no T&C.

Profit Tracker Templates
Have the ability to save manually entered sections in the profit tracker as reusable section templates that can be imported. For example, I manually enter sections for 'Materials' 'Labor' 'Disposal' 'Equipment' etc and then add separate line items as needed, so it would be very efficient to be able to save those sections and import them when I set up a new job profit tracker.

Display last updated
Display 'Last Updated' with the date and user that last updated the profit tracker.
Also having the ability to close/create new profit trackers would be helpful for additional scopes that aren't related to the main project but are still related the the address/client/job that you don't want included in the revenue/payments.

Notes + Attachments
Being able to make a note/tag a team member on the profit tracker would be helpful when there are questions/update requests regarding the job financials. And maybe having the ability to attach related documents like the estimate you are working off of and/or copies of the invoices received for materials/extras etc.

Amount Billed
Right now you can only view the overall amount we will be paid for a specific job/project once we are 100% complete with the work (planned revenue) and the total amount of payments that we've received and applied to that job (actual revenue). You can't currently see what we've billed the client for to date on the profit tracker and that would be helpful for larger, more complex jobs that require progress invoices/draws. Maybe having the option to switch the tracker from cash to accrual basis or adding a separate metric that displays the running total billed to date would…

Turn off automated email for deposit request
When we've signed estimates in the home with the customer, received a paper check in person, it still automatically sends the depost request after signing. I've had two customers call in a panic this week alone. There should be the ability to stop that from sending when the payment has been collected. Toggling off the deposit does not solve the problem becasue we need it on the signed contract that the deposit is required. In addition there is no way in JN to send a PDF proof of payment that we recieved in person to the homeowner. This figure needs…

cogs/margin on insurance jobs
In order to have insurance job financial information captured in insights we have to create insurance estimates, which we typically just list the total for work we're performing in a single line item. The bottom widget just assumes a 30% margin (our lowest possible setting) and therefore creates an inaccurate margin for the job. It'd be nice to be able to turn this calculation off on insurance estimates since it's inaccurate and we don't know the true margin until we've supplemented the job - and we'd like to have accurate understanding of average margin on jobs throughout the year.
