Tasks is a great way to mitigate this situation, but we know that having a lightweight checklist would be a lot more convenient for something like this. It’s on our list!

Thanks for your submission! Could you let us know a couple of examples of info that you’d like to enter here but can’t fully because of the current limit? Also, if you could provide an estimate of how many fields, besides unlimited :), would meet your needs?
Let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Thanks!

We use custom fields in work orders to enter all kinds of data, 35 fields is nothing, 100 maybe, from a programming standpoint, I don't see why the amount matters, except that a limit would prevent it from being used as a data dump, so maybe 500, 1k
A company that focuses on exteriors and deals with insurance carriersy might want have/use (we do) custom fields for contacts and work order fields for example:
Current Roof/Shingle Type
Layers
Substrate
Current Type of Drip Edge/Apron
New Type
Chimney Details
Antenna Details
Skylight Details
Flashing Details
Do We have Elec Access
Do we have water access
Are the pets home
Dumpster Access or placement requests
Fence situation, will an RB4000 fit?
Are there parking, access, or other special needs
Directions to closest Mexican Food (get it?)
Directions to closest INS office (now you get it)
Rows of Ice Barrier Required
Abnormal penetrations?
Special, expensive, rare shrubs, or other yard items
Permit on file?
Existing siding type
New outside corner type
Original wall surface details
Stories, height
Are the customers dumb (do they think fanfold insulates their house)
Who sold the job and how dumb are they (first part is available in Nimbus already)
Special requests from customers that need attention
<20 to 30 fields of nothing but measurements>
claim number
policy number
desk adjuster (you could do an associated contact)
field adjuster (same as above)
specific areas that need progressive focused documentation. DO NOT PROCEED WITHOUT DOCUMENTING LAST STEP type of stuff
The list is endless, I had to dumb ours down ALOT because I hit 35 in the first 30 minutes, so I had to combine them onto "roof details" and "claim details" etc.
