Recurring Tasks/Events In Calendar
Trying to schedule a weekly business meeting that happens at the same time every Friday and I do not have the option to have this as a recurring or repeating event.

Change calendar color for subcontractors
Similar to an idea listed, but would also love the ability to change the colors of sub-contractors on the calendar. I added a few of our crews as subs and they are very similar colors which are difficult to differentiate at a glance!
We also have some long-standing colors associated with each crew so would really like to be able to carry that coding through to the calendar.

Gantt Chart / Scheduling Dependencies
Allow scheduling though gantt charts and/or dependencies.
Calendar needs to have dependencies. We have 41 team members and doing 1,000's of jobs per year. When we get them all on the schedule then have a delay for any reason we have to manually move each and every job. Its getting near impossible to continue doing this that way. They need to be able to have dependencies so when one job moves a day then all the jobs scheduled after that move a day. Reference to "smartsheets".

Reminder or Alert feature in Calendar
We should be able to set reminders/alerts on scheduled items to notify the assignee(s) before the due date.
Example: Remind me 15 minutes before scheduled appointment.

Confirmation and Notification for appointments being moved on calendar - Undo Option
If an appointment on the calendar gets moved, either accidentally or on purpose, there is no notification for it. So especially if it is accidental nobody knows that it was moved/changed. This happens A LOT.

Color code different item/object types on calendar
to be able to make certain schedule items one color (example blue) and all repair schedule items another color (example red). It will make it easier to look at the calendar.
42 votesCurrently each item on the calendar is colored according to the assignee, but we always exploring new ideas and ways to better represent the information on the calendar.
In the meantime, you can use icons in Task Type and Contact/Job/WO workflow settings to help distinguish between different types of items on the calendar.

better calendar separation between employees
we schedule many reps and the color difference is good but I wish each color could be to a certain side instead of being intermixed. Makes difficult to see who's available quickly compared to our previous calendar.

Appointment scheduling IS REALLY NEEDED
We as contractors can look more professional and loose less leads by having a appointment scheduling feature here. We already use JOB NIMBUS but an important service like this is needed. Perhaps partnering with Calendly or other appointment scheduling software could be useful if creating one within job nimbus is not an option. This will Allow us to send appointment reminders by text and email to customers etc.

Add Items directly to Calendar, Color Codes Available, Drag to New Dates
Your should be ale to add projects to the calendar directly. Items on the calendar should sync with contact and work orders as well.
We have various scopes of work, whether a service job, a new install, out of office, new roof, etc. It would be so helpful if these items/notes could be added directly to the calendar verse having to enter a task or a work order to get it there. Also, the colors should be customizable, so its easy to differentiate between the scopes of work. You should be able to move the items along the calendar, if…

Show Subtasks underneath Tasks in lists
I think this would really simplify listings and reports. It would also make it easier in the calendar display to show subtasks listed under their parent tasks. For example:

Sort Tasks newest to oldest
I do not need to see what I have accomplished I need to see new tasks as they come in, sorting tasks newest to oldest would be a great help.

Auto Create Tasks of Certain Task Types with Sub Tasks
Long and short;
Not only allow Jobnimbus to create different task types, but also the ability for the task types automatically created to have information pre-populated and automatically have sub tasks in the task.For example;
Task is Send in XXX Document
Sub Task; Fax document to xxx-xxxx
Sub Task; Email Document to xxx@xxx.comIt would also be nice if the task could not be closed until all sub tasks are completed.

Monthly Calendar View - present week at top
It drives me crazy that I have to scroll down to get to the current week in my calendar rather than having the present week at the top of the page. I like to look at the calendar in the monthly view but I want this week to be the top week rather than the first week of the month.

17 votesYou can create tasks directly from the calendar, which would allow you to see the calendar to a certain extent while creating that task, but it’s not ideal and we definitely want to do this.

Work Order Calendar Sync
We can sync most activities to Google Calendar, but Work Orders to do not push - since the sales rep and sub are assigned, if these could push it would greatly allow both to be more organized.

Work Orders on the Calendar Should Fade After Completion Like Tasks Do
When a Task is completed, it becomes slightly faded out on the calendar to more easily differentiate between completed tasks and incomplete tasks. This would be a great feature to add to Work Orders. They would look normal until they were marked as "Complete" at which point they would fade slightly but keep their place on the calendar.
