I would like to be able to track the time employees have spent on jobs or tasks and/or give them the option to clock in our out on the mobile app.

Job Profit Calculation (Job Costing) - Estimate vs. Actual
Once all said and done, It would be nice to get a profit calculated for the Job. The 'Budget" has some nice features that could accomplish some of these things but would need to expanded. Some of the things to include
1) Material cost
2) Labor Cost (per employee) Cost vary
3) a)Original price Line for projject
b) Added/Subtracted Change orders as line items
c) Total Job Price
4) More choices, teirs to calculate the commission

So all appropriate parties could see actual current expenses to compare to their job budgets.

A commission sheet that i can print off for salesman
I really wish there was a section where I could print off a commission sheet for salesman. Right now I am building one in the budget form for them and then printing it. There is not a print button in this section and it makes it very difficult. We would also like the option of net profit.

Email, Print, or PDF for Budget
Currently there is no option to email, print or pdf a job budget which is very beneficial in forwarding to your salesforce. The work around is a printscreen which unfortunately captures everything on the screen and is not very professional. We have a Snag It program that we can use to capture just the budget flow to make things better but it would really save time if the program has this option automatically.

Ability to Track/Calculate a Draw Against Commissions
Many company's offer the sales person a draw against commission when the ACV check is collected. Job nimbus currently does not allow the calculation to record or recover that draw when the final commission is paid.

Budget Naming
Would be helpful to be able to manually assign a name to the budget. Currently it automatically assigns a budget number. We would like to break out our trades and create a separate budget for each (ie paint, gutters, siding). We are able to do this by creating new budgets for each, but under the financials tab the budgets are listed by the assigned number, therefore we have to go into each one to see which trade that budget is for.

Print or Export Budgets
I think this may be my third time posting about this. I'm just confused as to why this doesn't exist when the feature is already present in Job Nimbus.
Budgets, currently as they stand, have no ability to be Printed or to be exported as a CSV (The Budget Report that would only show you the Totals and Profit of each budget is not an answer to this.)
Every other Financial Document (Invoice, Credit Memo, Material Order, Estimate) can all be printed out in PDF format, but Budgets do not have this feature. But personally I would prefer it if…

More Customizable Form in Financial Tab
It would be nice if there was a more customizable form in the finances
section for each job. I would like to be able to make a "Cap Sheet" for each job for the salesmen's commissions. I can almost do this with the Budget form but want to be able to subtract out any advances or draws on the same form. For example:Bills
ABC Supply: $3000
Labor- roof : $2000
Home Depot: $50
Total $5050Job Total: $12000
Job Cost 1200
Job Expense(bills) 5050
Profit 5750
Commision 2875

Would like to have multiple budget templates available. This should be an easy thing to code and will allow us to have different people on different compensation models.

Budget automation
Can the budget section be automated. Where it takes the totals of the estimate/invoice, commissions, work orders and material orders automatically. SO when ever you add a new work order or material order it updates the budget totals.....?

Change Date of Commissions Marked Paid
I need to be able to change the date of a commission marked paid. If one is missed, then marked paid when it is found, it messes up the financials of that month/quarter, etc. There should be a dated to choose of marking paid.

Need an option on budget commissions for percent of net profit
Need an option on budget commissions for percent of net profit as this will help paying sales reps with Company overhead taken out of equation not affecting gross profit margins

I would like the option to name budgets
We use JN for PreCaps as well as the final cap out of a job. Our sales reps have access to this and it keeps them familiar as the job is flowing through production. Also for retail or commercial we would like to use this for a PreCap on our good, better, and best options

Make Crew Pay and Job Costing Easier?
Almost all of the financial features (invoice, credit memos, etc.) have ability to save templates with pricing. However, work orders do not include a price component. We want to be able to save a template for each of crews at their different rates. This would allow us to create a work order, load a template for that specific crew at their specific rates when we send the work order. This would cut down on confusion over crew pay and would result in faster crew pay.

Status option for budgets
To have a status option for budgets, like you do for an estimate/invoice. This way I can accurately determine what gross and net margins are, if there are jobs in the budget where costs have not been entered yet, because projects are not completed. The only way I can accurately get my margins correct is for me to filter by a completed job.

Be able to record commission overrides
Setup budget feature to track override commissions. There should be a separate configuration in the system for sales managers to designate an override amount so whenever anyone from their team gets a deal, they get a percentage.

Budget Categories
Within a singular budget, there should be more categorical breakdowns in addition to Labor.
For example -- material category, labor category, overhead category. That way I can run an accurate report on Commissions paid/ unpaid, labor paid/unpaid, material purchased.6 votes
