  1. Searchable sections

    Make sections able to be searched for. This way you can have a bundle of line items under a section name that represent something, like changing a skylight for example that will have material and labor line items pop up under it, then be able to choose a quantity for the section and a markup per section (we have different margins for different trades). It feels like the smart estimates are trying to do this, but this would be a great supplement to that and make a large portion of the other features in JobNimbus a lot more helpful.

  3. Override Estimate Section Totals

    Ability to override the section totals, as well as the entire total of the estimate. If we are completing insurance work, it’s tedious to breakout labor and material, to the point it isn’t worth it. Having the ability to force the total to the RCV from the insurance estimate would streamline the entire process from insurance estimate to orders to invoice.

  4. Ability to add custom fields to invoices

    It would be great to be able to add custom fields that can auto populate check numbers to the invoices to show applied payments.

  8. Able to Add Total Labor and Total Materials as Invoice Report Column Option

    Include the total labor cost and total material cost in an invoice report as a column option. When I run a weekly or monthly invoice report, I can see the total invoice price and the total costs as line items, but really need to see the total material and total labor breakdown also. It shows on the invoice -- just want to add it as a column option, exactly like Total, Total Cost, Total Paid, Balance, etc options

  9. Convert invoice to Paid in Full Receipt

    We would like to be able to convert an invoice into a Paid in Full receipt. We have a template design for this but when we sent it to our customer it still shows as an invoice and there are times they don't open the invoice to see it's paid in full. It causes them confusion and makes them think they are being charged again. If we could convert the invoice to a receipt, 1) the file would show receipt, and 2) there could be a separate email to auto-send with the receipt that shows receipt instead of invoice

  10. Ability to use template custom fields in line items

    Like template fields on an estimate, it would be great to be able to use fields that auto populate in the line items of an estimate that can draw data from a contact field. This would be helpful for repeated estimates that need the same/similar data.

  11. Formula section for Estimates

    I think we need a section that allows us to be able to create simple formulas with the estimate lines. For example: My team uses Hover for a siding estimate. They enter the linear feet of trim that hover displays for "Outside Corners" and it is in a "James Hardie Template". The formula I would need to write is: Outside Corner Linear Feet * .05 (round up) / 12 (12' is the length of the trim for James Hardie)

    Don’t get hung up on Hover. We don’t always need a hover, but having that capability to convert a line item…

  12. Have custom work order fields "required" be more customizable

    I want to have custom work order fields be required for some of my work order types and some required for other types of work orders. Currently, if you mark one field "required" it's for all work order types. It would be great to see some customization.

  13. cogs/margin on insurance jobs

    In order to have insurance job financial information captured in insights we have to create insurance estimates, which we typically just list the total for work we're performing in a single line item. The bottom widget just assumes a 30% margin (our lowest possible setting) and therefore creates an inaccurate margin for the job. It'd be nice to be able to turn this calculation off on insurance estimates since it's inaccurate and we don't know the true margin until we've supplemented the job - and we'd like to have accurate understanding of average margin on jobs throughout the year.

  14. Credit Card Fees & Profit Tracker

    The profit tracker does NOT take into account what the credit card fees are, only the total amount the customer paid. Example: Customer paid invoices by credit card for a total of $1,520.20 which is what the profit tracker shows. $49.29 of that is credit card fees. Therefore the profit tracker shows a surplus of $49.29.

    Currently, to find the credit card fees I have to go see how they made their payment, open the payment tab, search their date of payment, find their payment, add their fees together, and the add them to my profit tracker as an expense…

    Although the functionality originated from a bug, it became a valuable part of our daily workflow by allowing ACH payment requests without full invoice edit access. Maintaining a clear separation between project management and accounting is essential for us, and granting invoice edit permissions to PMs introduces risk. Without a payments‑only permission, our process is slowed, so a dedicated option to send payment requests without invoice editing would greatly improve efficiency.

    In legacy estimates there used to be a field called Date signed that was filled when the document was esigned, but that has been abandoned since the sumo quote integration. Now there is no way to expose the actual date that a job is sold. This is extremely frustrating and I have asked in a variety of different ways so I am spamming user voice in every related place.   20. Void Expired Estimate

    I would love the option to have an estimate automatically voided when a job is moved to lost sales, or at least be able to set up an automation that voids estimates if xyz requirements are met. We have had situations where a customer signed an old contract instead of the updated pricing estimate months later by finding the email and getting the new link sent to her and being able to sign. It was a repair that went through before we noticed but it was 8 months apart from their new estimate and therefore a major pricing increase that…
