Estimate Options (e.g. Good, Better, Best)
On the estimate be able to have options. So that the options do not all total together at the bottom. Right now it gives an unaccurate total amount.

estimate needs improvement, roofers offer several packages of shingles and we need check mark box for available options client can pick
This is very valid !!!! :"I would like the totals to show blank until the customer has chosen the options they are going to agree to. This way you don't send the customer an inflated estimate."

We like to give an estimate for if we just do the replacement with the same grade of materials, and an estimate with upgraded materials. We're trying to get into using JobNimbus to create our estimates, but feel very limited and don't want to have to send out two separate documents to each client.

I think it would be beneficial to everyone if it were customizable to your business in particular. I don't want all the materials to show up on the estimate either, just a description of what we offer and a price for each option but it should total the options together. We currently use templates that we made with Microsoft Word but it would be much easier to just generate a proposal straight from the customers job page.

It would also be great if we had more control of layout on the estimate templates. Option to remove the sub total and total from the bottom right. Also the ability to use all the available space in the description instead of only being able to use so many characters and then auto returning.

Please add this feature. It’s pretty much sales 101 to offer optional upgrades to increase revenue

Any update on this or a work around solution commonly used? I want to leave our spreadsheets but I currently have to use multiple templates and use that info to update a seperate document.

How are you working around this currently Cory?

we use a "good, better and best" system for our proposal and we would love it if we could separate the prices so that it isn't one lump sum at the bottom. This is the only thing that we have found so far to be a real issue for us when it comes to generating estimates

Very much needed. -- Be able to enter multiple options, along with their respective quantity & price, without having them count towards the total unless selected. This way the customer can see "option B will cost me $$ on top of the current estimate total".

Please address this as it would make things much easier for our Good Better Best approach at times

This would be incredibly helpful. We often present customers with multiple scenarios and they pick and choose. Currently, we are generating 2-5 individual quotes to show this so that the customers don't get sticker shock.

It would be also helpful to "check off" items on an estimate that are to be included in a Work Order instead of manually deleting each item that isn't for a particular subcontractor.

Agreed. This would solve my problem as well. I need to be able to create a section that does not total or have a dollar value.

I have 3 different types of shingles that I use with different price points such as 30 yr. 50 yr. and lifetime shingles to present my customers with 3 options in their purchase decision. I would like a way to show all 3 estimates along with a title (30 yr., 50 yr., lifetime, etc), a short description and prices all side by side at the same time and then the ability to click on each one to bring up the full estimate for more detail.

It would also be a great help to have the ability to load multiple estimate templates in to an estimate,
I.e. a 3 tab roof template, a Vinyl siding template, a Gutter template etc.

It would be nice to be able to have separate sections for an estimate, invoice, material order, etc.
For example, I would like to divide a customer's invoice into each trade as it appears on their insurance estimate, such as Roofing, Siding, Gutters, etc. There would still be separate items under each one category, along with a total for each category as well as the complete Total at the bottom.
