Create "Work Order" Automations
Automate "Work Order" Creations. For Ex: When the "Status" is moved to a specific department / Status, a work order is automatically created. We currently have to manually create thousands of work orders a year for every department to view on their work flow boards. If you can currently automate creating tasks when the job status is moved, why can you not create a work order the same way? The work order specifics will be set up like the task specifics when setting the "action". For Ex: *Design template *Saved work order *Work order Type *Assigned to.

Custom Dropdown that lets you pick from contacts just like Assigned To and Sales Rep
We have more than five use cases for this feature (only the ones I think most contractors could benefit from are here):
Project Manager
Customer Service Manager
Quality Control Rep
CanvasserMake a feature where we can create custom fields that allow you to select contacts, users, and subcontractors. Maybe three different Custom Dropdown field types that isolate to each so picking isn't too cumbersome?
I hate having to populate the dropdown each time a head changes.
This would tie contact records together with more meaning than the general fields provide:

Have the first page of the work order and material order be a photo of the home and address
We got accustomed to this with sumo quote. The first page of the work being the photo of the house and address really helps crews know they are at the right house. Also our supplier has mentioned that they really like this as it also helps their drivers when they are delivering materials before the job starts.

Add inspection images page to workorder from the signed quote
In sumo quote when I create a work order it adds the inspection images page to the work. These are things the sales guy made a point to take an image for clarity on instructions or a particular item to the homeowner in his estimate and signed quote. This really helps improve communication to our crews. This way the right item gets removed or stays on the roof, or special details pointed out. It also saves me a lot of time not having to go into our photo album and repeat the process.

Consolidate Photo Uploads
It would be really helpful if the activity log could consolidate photo uploads. Right now, when multiple photos are uploaded at once, each one generates its own separate “photo uploaded to job” entry. This clutters the activity feed and makes it harder to track other important updates. Ideally, a single log entry could summarize the batch upload (e.g., “10 photos uploaded to job”), keeping the feed more organized and readable.

Email Automation Shutoff
The ability to shut jobs (or contacts) off from receiving emails triggered by automations you have set up. For example if a quote is sent out and you have an automation set up to send a follow up email 2,7,14,and 30 days after, you could shut a job off from this rule because they already told you they need x amount of time to make a decision.
This would avoid emails going out to jobs that technically fall under the rules of the automation but don't need the follow up.

Notes - Sub Notes
We use notes as a means for updates on the job. Instead of creating an entirely new note to acknowledge a note that I am tagged in (or anyone else on the team) that is populated above the previous note - having a sub note feature would be super useful and keep the notes section way more organized & clean

I’m getting complaints from my estimators about creating a contact through the “add job”. When you create a contact leading into a job I have 4 complaints: Phone number is a required field, email is a required field, the zip code doesn’t auto fill the city, and the state is a drop down selection requiring a break in flow when it should/could default to Washington. I know you can easily change this because none of these are the case when you “add contact”. I want “create new contact” when creating a job to be the same as when you just…

Being able to choose what contact information is populated in a NSE estimate
The issue we ran into is they had an old sales user who was no longer an active user and was replaced recently, and it took the system a second to refresh the contact information automatically populated on the estimate. It would be nice if there was simply a drop-down to select which user you would like to populate their contact information on the estimate.

when opening the sidebar there is no field for note taking, making the sidebar barely usable for everyday tasks

Comprehensive Sub-contractor Management
An independent contractor/sub section with settings (similar to existing contacts, but specific to contractors). What this could entail....
Enter all contractor contacts through this process. Allow you to add data fields specific to contractors without conflating this information with customer data fields.
A multi-selection drop down notating all fields of work and/or roof types they offer services for.
A document tracking mechanism where an expiration date can be notated on the document and a notification is sent when the document is about to expire (i.e. when COI is about to expire, work comp, a new W9 is required).

Be able to call all Contacts directly from the job (not just the primary contact) from the app
Currently, WHILE USING THE APP when there is more than one contact attached to a job you can only call the primary contact directly from that job (not the secondary contact). There is a work around which would be to go into "Details" and click on the secondary contact and call from there. However, the problem is that then the notes from that phone call store under the contact and not the job (we are aware to relate the contacts and then when in the job click the “related” button and from there all notes from any attached/related contacts or…

Separate Activity & Notes
I feel like notes should have it's own designated space like tasks, documents, financials, etc. because often times important notes get lost once there are automations, emails, etc. that occur. Or separating 'Communication' from the notes & activity would also be helpful.

customer type box for color choices
When a customer Signs our "Contract" I want to be able to have a box that is required to be filled out that the customer would type in their color choices for roof, siding, gutters, etc... These items are crucial to have all in one spot for transparency and to cover ourselves due to discrepancies after install. This is a huge NEED

Set appointment reminders in calendar
The current calendar does not allow setting appointment reminders even thought it merges with Google Calendar. Being able to set reminders 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, 1 day, etc before a meeting is important.

Creating Multiple Categories for Job Fields
We have alot of commercial and residential clients and we use the Job Feilds as a template of questions for our receptionists ask during job creation. These question normally only apply to residential full replacement customers so we just have to type a note for commercial clients. It would be great to be able to create entirely different templates in Job Fields for each different job type.

status restriction
statuses that roles are not assigned to should not be able to pull jobs out of and put in other statuses. If we can limit their ability to move a job to a certain status. We want to be able to limit their ability to move the job out as well.
