  1. Create a map that would display all customers and jobs, which would be differentiated by each sales rep

    We distribute leads based on where the sales reps have been working.
    It would be great to have a map where we can put in an address (the new lead) and it will show the location among pinpoints that represent all "contacts" and "jobs"- which would vary in color based on the sales rep (or instead of different colors, click on or drag mouse over pins to see who the sales rep is for the surrounding pins)

    Would like to be able to customize the information displayed on the cards in boards.

  3. Other Email, Phone, and Address Fields (e.g. billing) for Contacts

    Add more fields for additional phone, email, and physical addresses for contacts.

    I would like to have the ability to enter contacts home as well as their business addresses and emails. It could be a second contact address rather than marked as as a home address, This would mean for employees for instance you can write to them at their home address or have a second email address for a contact. This save having to set up two contacts for the same person and the confusion this causes.

    Update: We just released a Duplicate Contact checker for when creating new contacts on the web. It will now let you know before hitting Save that you’re adding a duplicate, which should prevent future duplicates and might help this situation.     Currently we do not have the ability to merge contact records, but I made sure this was in our development queue and will update as we make progress.

  5. Ability to Duplicate (Contacts, Jobs)

    As certain jobs are duplicated (i.e. repeats), it would be great to have a function that enabled duplication of jobs when creating a 'new' job rather than having to reenter the data.

    Sometimes we need to add another contact from the same company, so duplicating all info and related items, etc and just changing the name.

    Have bulk (batch, mass) update and edit capabilities for contacts, jobs, etc.

    - Assign, un-assign, reassign team members
    - Change status of several items at once
    - Mark multiple tasks as complete
    - Tags

  7. Allow Customization of Field Layout in Contacts, Jobs, Tasks

    Allow users to move the fields around (order of them) when adding, editing, and viewing Jobs and Contacts, and hide built-in fields that are not applicable to a specific workflow.

    This should be customizable per Workflow so that different Contact/Job types have different field requirements according to their needs.

  8. Checklists

    Also include option to make required before changing status.

    We have a fairly extensive workflow list (over 40 items) for one of our job types. I have struggled whether to build the list "past tense or future tense" with steps that "still need to be done" or "have been done" ex: Need to Order Permit vs. Permit ordered. The issue is if a job has a workflow status that has been completed (Permit ordered) its not really displaying what i need to do next.   9. Tiered contacts

    We have many contacts who all work for the same company, it would be nice when creating contacts that if we select the company that specific person works for, all the address info will auto populate for the new contact. Business/Company would be the main tier of contacts and individuals within that organization would be a sub tier. You could tie a job to an overall business or to a specific contact or both.

  10. Phone Number field in Jobs

    When creating a jobs I would like a area to enter the persons phone number so it can appear on the top of the page when I am looking at the job. I don't want to click on contact to pull up a number.

  11. Quick Actions for Board Cards

    When updating cards on the job boards, it would be immensely helpful to have a few quick actions available if you right-click on the card. Some ideas would be:
    1. Edit Start/end date.
    2. Move to - [choose status] - for some of our longer boards it would alleviate the scrolling to the appropriate list.
    3. Mark Subcontractor/Crew as Complete - allow us to mark a sub as complete to help with progress tracking. This feature could put a line through the subcontractor circle, bonus points if we can add the date it was completed!

  12. Pin important Notes to top of activity

    It would be nice to be able to flag or pin important notes that would stay at the top of the activity so important items do not get buried

    Great idea! Thank you for your suggestion.

    The “Description” field on Contacts and Jobs is sometimes used as a “permanent note” that always stays at the top, but your idea will be great to have alongside that to make notes more dynamic and useful.

  14. View contact info in job

    Inside a job, I would like to see the primary contact's name, phone #, email address, etc. This would make things easier because you wouldn't have to leave the job screen to get that info. Plus, I am a Natural Forms user, and I cannot import those fields into my forms because they do not exist at the job level.

  15. Option to make Built-In Fields Required/Mandatory (e.g. Lead Source)

    Really need to be able to require specific fields in the contact & job information, ESPECIALLY lead source.

    This definitely seems like something we would do as part of “Company” support where if only a Company name is added, then it would change to a Company icon rather than a Contact icon.

  18. Ability to Disable the Financial Tab on Contacts

    I generate my estimates at the "Job". Having a "financials" tab at both the Contact level and Job Level causes confusion. I'd like to ability to disable the Financials tab at the Contact Level in order to avoid this confusion.

  19. Days Since (Age Tracking)

    Jobs in a certain status since..., invoice in a status since...

    Once an invoice has been sent out it would be nice if JobNimbus had a way of keeping them in an aging que that tracks how many days go by with out payment and it makes you aware of when invoices are nearing their due date, due and when they are past due. Maybe like a green, yellow, red system. I think this would not only be helpful for those in billing but it would allow follow up with the clients before invoices become due.

    We’ve added Days in Status to board cards for Contacts, Jobs, and Work Orders. You can also see this number in the Details screens and in a column on your reports.

    While we haven’t added this to estimates and invoices yet, this should give you a good leg up to do some cool stuff!

  20. Custom Fields by Type (Contact, Job, WO)

    Custom fields should be linked to the contact type (the same should apply to job type, and WO Templates as well). This way we can have custom fields based on the contact type we are using. Instead of fields that aren't applicable to the contact type.
