Custom field that can be used as a web link
Custom field that can be used as a web link to a 3rd party source. Our instance is linking to a project's property appraiser's details on their website. But I see this being used with potential links for other things like videos, real estate listings, and/or maps or survey websites.
I would see it being deployed as the fields name, and a blue link just to the right that says " [ Link ]"

Limited access on contacts
We have third party departments who work within our CRM, however we are only wanting them to see contact information not edit or delete it. There should be an option on the access profile permissions to only allow them to see contacts, upload documents/photos, add notes without being able to change the status or edit the contact information. It would be even more helpful if they were able to add dates/input information in the customized contact fields without changing the standard contact fields (like name,address,phone number)

Remove/Change the "Assigned Default" when creating the Job/Contact
Have the option to remove or change the "assigned default" name when creating a contact. Right now when I create a Contact it defaults me as the assigned person.

Default "Shadow Text" in Fields
Allow admin to create a default light colored "shadow text" that populates in fields to suggest the information or format that should be input.
Example: a Job is asked to be entered as CUSTOMERLASTNAME-REPINITIALMMYY DOE-MA0222

Turn off drop downs/pop ups in new contacts
When I am creating a NEW customer the drop downs/pop ups get in the way. Nothing I have entered before apply to NEW customers. We just got 300+ calls in a week and that slowed us down so much. When adding additional contacts I use duplicate and make changes. This works great. We tried turning off pop ups in web browser but that did not change the long pop up/drop down that gets in the way when you start to type a name or address or email.

Map that shows previous job locations
Add a map feature to JobNimbus that shows location data points for previous completed jobs.
6 votesWould it also be beneficial to see current jobs/tasks? Others have submitted ideas for that and I am wondering if there is just a filter that would allow you to determine if you want to look at old jobs or current jobs.

Enable entry of customers with the same name and not have to modify
We live in an area where many people have the same name. This creates a lot of difficulty for us when creating a new contact. We have to modify and it causes reporting issues for us. It would be great to have an "override" button for these customers.

Do not display unused fields when printing Contact
I only want to print contact Info and all of the fields' headings appear even when I uncheck the job and tasks and attachments.

Tag someone when editing contact
It would be more efficient to be able to tag someone when adding a note while editing the contact. Many times, when editing a contact, we have to add a note. But if we want to tag someone in that note, we have to remember to edit the note after adding it.

No longer previewing activity???????
Used to when you would go to a contact, you could see all activity displayed. You could preview and reply to texts straight from the contact page, read emails, and all of that. Since the new updates, none of that information will load. I can only see that there is a line for each of the activities, but absolutely no preview of information. I hate that it makes it so much harder to access information while on a phone call with customers or suppliers. I would have preferred the functionality over the aesthetic. I appreciate that you guys are "trying"…

Referral Option with Lead Source Field
I would like when I select referral for lead source that it gives me another drop down to connect a contact to this referral. At that point I should be able to create a new contact if need be or link it to a contact already in the system. Then from that I would like a KPI in the contact so when I go look at that contact I can see "referred jobs" and their status - closed won, lost, waiting for payment, whatever it may be. This would give me great tracking ability on whos referring who and if…

Separate Activity & Notes
I feel like notes should have it's own designated space like tasks, documents, financials, etc. because often times important notes get lost once there are automations, emails, etc. that occur. Or separating 'Communication' from the notes & activity would also be helpful.

Comprehensive Sub-contractor Management
An independent contractor/sub section with settings (similar to existing contacts, but specific to contractors). What this could entail....
Enter all contractor contacts through this process. Allow you to add data fields specific to contractors without conflating this information with customer data fields.
A multi-selection drop down notating all fields of work and/or roof types they offer services for.
A document tracking mechanism where an expiration date can be notated on the document and a notification is sent when the document is about to expire (i.e. when COI is about to expire, work comp, a new W9 is required).

Limit access on work orders to change status but not edit or create.
We really need our subcontractors inside of jobnumbus to have access to change the status of a work order to complete, but for obvious reasons they need to not be able to edit or create work orders.
